I’ve long wanted to do a series on pool bars, and Brad over at DisneyCaribbeanBeach.com tribute website has kindly offered the photos for me to start!
Banana Cabana holds a special place in my heart as it’s always so relaxing, and I continuously find the kindest and most engaging bartenders there!
And, as all Disney World pool bars do, Banana Cabana serves the standard Disney drinks as well as a few of its own special concoctions! Indulge in mixed drinks, frozen or on the rocks; all servings of bears; wines; and non-alcoholic drinks — including a non-alcoholic pina colada!
When you get a bit peckish, just head inside Old Port Royale to the Market Street Food Court and visit one of the several food court locations for a bit to eat.
This is a great place to watch the sunset, keep an eye on the kids in the (AWESOME!) theme pool, or just enjoy some time with your friends and family on vacation. Sit back, relax, and take in a little of that caribbean calm!
What’s YOUR favorite pool bar? I’ll add it to the list for the series! Let me know via facebook, twitter, or email!

This is a great idea for a series! I’m looking forward to learning more about all the pool bars at WDW! Let’s face it, that is a very important part of any stay at a Disney Resort. Must. Have. Pool. Bar. LOL.

My thoughts, exactly, Gray!! Thanks for the validation!

I also agree on all counts. Great series idea and great pool bar. We thought Caribbean Beach Resort was just “meh” when we stayed there but I LOVED this pool bar. I think it was because the bartender carded me. I mean, she HONESTLY carded me, and seemed genuinely surprised when I gave her a funny look. I was 36 at the time.
She may have just been the world’s best actress, but I tipped her super-well.

Elizabeth — I wonder if it was the same bartender I had last time! She was so great — I felt like I had a new best friend!

We love the Banana Cabana, so much so that I requested the Pina Colava recipe for home! As a mom of 3 (ages 5 and under), after flying/traveling all day I look forward to having a drink on arrival at WDW. We always love to walk first thing to the Banana Cabana. But we learned one drawback (the only one we know of!) of the Banana Cabana – if it is cold, it is closed! So after a long day of children thinking TSA agents were stealing their new Disney Cars and Princess shoes and trying to explain that we can’t get off the plane until we land, I arrived at the Banana Cabana which was completely closed up and no Pina Colava to kick off the vacation. So if you are traveling to the Caribbean Beach Resort during the colder months, you might want to keep this in mind!
