The time is nigh!!!
Disney has announced that Visa cardholders booking a full-price vacation package can get free dining for check-in dates between 8/15 and 10/2, 2010. Here are the details:
- You must book three consecutive nights in a Disney hotel and purchase at least a 2-day theme park ticket using your Disney Visa Rewards card.
- Guests of value resorts get the quick-service dining plan, while those in moderate, deluxe, and villas get the regular dining plan.
- The regular dining can also be upgraded to the deluxe plan for $30 per adult and $10 per child per night, or $40 and $12 for those staying in a value resort.

I wish they bring back the room discounts..While I love free food the room discounts were much better imo.

Any word on the rumored Dining Plan changes for 2011 yet?

Chris — Are you waiting for the general public free dining?
Heidi — Thanks for the additional info!
Chip — Agreed. We book room-only, so the free dining on the package doesn’t work for us.
Adam — Not that I know of. Will keep an ear to the ground.

I know this is off-topic, but I just came back from the World in April, and finally booked a package to take advantage of the gift card promotion. Didn’t spend one cent out of my own pocket the whole trip!
Also, had dinner at ‘Ohana…..was impressed for the first time in a LONG time, and the person in our party who was allergic to Pineapple got a custom meal that had people at the next table staring.
