Our Disneyland columnist, Heather Sievers, is back with some photos of Thanksgiving treats in Disneyland! Be sure to check out her other posts in her Dining in Disneyland column.
Let’s be Thankful!
Although I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas time at Disneyland, I do feel sort of bad for Thanksgiving. Halloween pretty much turns into Christmas overnight. Today, at The Blue Ribbon Bakery and The Candy Palace, both on Disneyland’s Main Street USA, I found two treats that made me THANKFUL.
I know AJ recently posted a photo of the pumpkin muffin, well guess what? I got to taste one today and let me tell you this, if you like pumpkin desserts, you need to get your hands on one of these before they are gone for the season.
Honestly, this “muffin” seems more like a cupcake to me. It size is enormous, it’s super moist, and it has the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor. Not too overpowering, just right. The batter also has plump sweet raisins in it which was a great surprise.
What really makes this thing delectable though? The dollop of cream cheese frosting on top that continues into the middle of the muffin, not completely stuffed with frosting, just a little added bonus below the top.
Unfortunately, after the pumpkin muffin, I was not about to purchase a cupcake. However, I did see these adorable “Thanksgiving-ish” treats inside the Candy Palace. They only came in one flavor, chocolate with colored butter cream frosting. Yea for Thanksgiving!

AJ…could you FedEx a couple of those cupcakes my way????

The Pumpkin Muffin at Disneyland is hands down my favorite snack at any Disney property. One of my favorite Disneyland moments was the first time I had one. I was at the park alone, meeting friends later in the day, and I saw that the bakery had a new addition for the season, Pumpkin muffins and cider. I got one of each, and went to sit in the rotunda in front of the castle. It was a cool morning and the park was relatively quiet. A truly magical moment as I enjoyed the treat and watched the park come to life for the day.

Chloe — I’m on it!
Mykelogan — Sigh. What a wonderful story. Another reason why everyone should have some alone time in the parks once in a while. 🙂

I’m a muffin before cupcake person. I love pumpkin pie spices, so this looks like a real winner. That muffin with a good cup of coffee on a cool morning puts a lot of “Thanks” in Thanksgiving, especially while sitting in a Disney park.

Ooh! I feel all warm and cozy thinking of fall and Thanksgiving at Disneyland. A bit of hot cider and a pumpkin muffin-cake would hit the spot! 🙂
