Happy Christmas, everyone!
So, I was wandering around Epcot’s Germany during our October vacation and found myself in the Christmas store there. “Wow,” I thought, “there’s so much great Christmas stuff here that I’d love to write about, but none of it is food-related, so… .” But then, there it was! Glimmering in the late-afternoon sunlight — Beer! Cookies! Christmas! I knew then and there that I wanted to write about this perky little tree, and I figured I’d save it for today!
I’m a sucker for nostalgia, and these types of ornaments — vintage-looking and delicate, sporting beautiful colors and intricate designs — are gorgeous. And when they’re depicting food? Even better!
This tree was covered in them. Hofbrauhaus Beer barrels, Weingut Juliusspital golden wine bottles, beer steins, German-decorated gingerbread cookies… pretty appetizing if I do say so myself!
And on that note — Merry Christmas to all of you guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday and I wish you Season’s Greetings and safe travels!

What about the pickle?!

Kelly — there’s a whole pickle tree behind this one, so I guess they thought they were covered! 🙂

All that tree needs is me, passed out underneath it.
