During the 2011 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend, runners are invited to participate in a new course through the theme parks. After enjoy some of the kiosks serving food and beverages at the 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

Keep running because the private party at Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival awaits your outstanding finish! Best of all, your family and friends can join you!
Located in the Epcot parking lot, the finish line will only be steps away from a “beer garden” for runners 21 and older. An expanded baggage claim area along with a convenient changing area will be available so that you can quickly join the fun inside Epcot.
Eats
Taste your away around World Showcase savoring the flavors at 27 marketplace kiosks. There will also be 20 additional food and beverage locations throughout the park where you can redeem your “taste” or “sip”!
Entertainment
The exclusive party includes select attractions along World Showcase and inside Future World. Stop at Soarin’, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Maelstrom and more. Live entertainment and character meet & greets too!

Transportation
If you choose one of the Event Host Resorts, you’ll have transportation to and from the events included with your resort booking. Buses will have Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon signs placed in the front windows. Transportation to Disney’s Health & Fitness Expo will be available via bus every 30 minutes on Friday, September 30: 9:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 1: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please review all transportation info here.

With your registration for the Half Marathon, you’ll receive a Champion Race Tech shirt, an official race program guide, a goody bag, and personalized bib. To have your name placed on the big, please register by August 1, 2011. To stay hydrated, you’ll find refreshments along the course as well as waiting for you at the finish line. This will be a ChronoTrack D-tag timed race and personalized results will be published on the race website.
As you arrive the exclusive after-hours party, you’ll receive a complimentary “taste” and “sip” which can be used 10:30 pm until 3:00 am. Enjoy any single-serving Kiosk food item and a single serving Kiosk alcoholic (21 and over!) or non-alcoholic beverage. Kiosks will be limited to certain pavilions during the after-hours party and will not have all the items that are available at the Food and Wine Festival during Epcot’s normal operating hours.

16 minutes per mile or faster, including stroller division
Training
Strive for a 15 minute per mile pace (or faster) which will allow time for restroom breaks and photo opportunities!
