It’s been announced that three new kiosks, Portugal, Hawaii, and the Caribbean Islands World Showcase booths, would be introduced to the World Showcase Marketplace at this year’s 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! Today, a few of the new menu items were announced!
Hawaii: Kailua Pork Sliders
Caribbean Islands: Ropa Vieja
Portugal: Calamari Salad

What is Ropa Vieja?

@summer: Looked it up and it looks like it is a shredded flank steak in a tomato sauce like base. Looks similar to pulled pork, but I am sure the flavor is very different.
I’m looking forward to the Kailua Pork Sliders. Do you think that they’ll really do the pork in an Imu, or just pretend they’re cooked that way? I love watching how they cook traditional Hawaiian pork.
@evan & @summer… Evan’s right, kinda like pulled pork but the sauce is completely different. Reminds me more of a stew instead of a bbq item. Definitely delicious though, and it’s what I normally get when I’m at a Cuban restaurant!
