Bread pudding is a ubiquitous dessert in Disney World. You can find versions of it on nearly every buffet restaurant menu (Boma’s and Crystal Palace’s are well-loved!), a counter-service version exists at the Main Street Bakery, savory versions have been found at Le Cellier and Cinderella’s Royal Table, and you could claim that Rose and Crown’s Sticky Toffee Pudding fits the bill.
But there are some spectacularly sweet, official bread pudding options at three of Disney World’s popular table-service restaurants.
It’s these three that I’m going to stick with today, and usually I can give you my clear favorite; but when it comes to these, I think it’s time for a poll. After having eaten each one of these desserts over the past year, I can’t make up my mind as to which I like best — I honestly can’t wait to dig into each one of them again!
So I’m hoping you’ll join in and cast your vote for a favorite. Let us know in the comments why you made your choice, and if you have another bread pudding version that you would include in the list!
Raglan Road: Ger’s Bread and Butter Pudding
The presentation of this dessert is delicious. The bread pudding is a specialty of celebrity Master Chef Kevin Dundon at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney, and those who order it get their own little tray of wonderfulness.
The layered, golden bread pudding is flanked by caramel sauce and vanilla creme anglaise that you can use to customize your dessert in any way you’d like. (My advice? Use it all! You’ll barely be able to claw yourself back from the richness. And that’s a good thing.)
Ideally, your dessert will arrive during one of the fun entertainment sets at Raglan Road — the Irish band and the Irish dancers are so fun to watch!
‘Ohana: Bananas Foster Bread Pudding
A phenomenal dessert, even if you do have to share it. Served family style at ‘Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Resort, this chunk of bread pudding comes to your table with a hefty serving of ice cream on top…ice cream that begins to melt oh-so-beautifully as the warm caramel-banana sauce douses the dessert.
This has been a favorite dessert of mine for a long, long time, and it never ceases to be incredible. It truly is the reason I go back to ‘Ohana again and again.
House of Blues: White Chocolate Bread Pudding
While bread pudding desserts don’t usually include chocolate. Finding one that does is…let me say from experience…outstanding. At House of Blues in Downtown Disney, this dessert is served with the bread pudding in the middle of a pool of gorgeous, thick white chocolate sauce, which means that there’s plenty of flavor to go around.
This was the final bread pudding of the three that I tried, so while I tried to shove it into the #3 spot while I ate it, I just couldn’t. It’s delicious, and I’ve been craving it ever since my first experience!
Don’t forget the great entertainment options at House of Blues — stop in for bread pudding, then take in a concert from one of your favorite bands!

Bread Pudding + Creme Anglaise x Irish Dancers = Pure Heaven.

Being from New Orleans I set the bar for Bread Pudding really high. I was surprised that no one in my dining party in April liked the bread pudding at ‘ohana. I thought it was perfect. I’m going to have to try the one at Ragland Road!
Pudge the Fish says
Raglan Road by a mile. The bread pudding is incredible on its own but the little pitchers of anglaise and caramel put it way over the top for me.

RAGLAN ROAD!
I frequently find myself daydreaming about their bread pudding. It’s heavenly!
One of the best things I’ve ever tasted!
It’s really filling though. You can’t have more than a few bites of it after a meal.
Next time We’re at WDW, we plan to have the bread pudding for a meal. It’s THAT filling!
Kelly says
I voted other. I like the croissant berry pudding at Sunshine Seaons. But out if those three I’d go Raglan Road. Of course, it’s the only one I’ve actually tried !!
Jason says
California Grill has a great bread pudding right now made with croissants; it is an odd combination of light and rich perfection (especially with a Tawny port). It is actually the best that I have ever had anywhere, but I have not had the RR one yet.
Jenny says
I haven’t actually tried any of these bread puddings but they all look delicious!!!!! The breakfest buffet at grand floridian has this really good vanilla bread pudding 🙂
Jenny says
i personally really enjoy when bread pudding is smothered in any kind of sauce
Beth says
I don’t think I’ve ever had bread pudding at WDW…I’m a baker, so my dessert standards are pretty high!
Greg says
The only one of the three I have tried was the one at O’Hana. But it was incredible!
Lindsay says
I had no idea there were so many Disney bread puddings that I’ve been missing out on! Bread pudding is one of my favorite things to try at restaurants, since it is one dish that is never the same as somewhere else. It doesn’t looking very pretty – but Ragland Road’s seems the most appealing with the do-it-yourself sauce duo.
canadianslovewdw says
the bread pudding at ohana is wonderful .. the bananas foster sauce that is put on it is good enough drink… but i warn you if you drink it from the pitcher your wife will give you the “i cant believe you just did that” look
ShaeLee says
I’m not a fan of bread pudding. I was skeptical when it was served at O’Hana, but OH MY, it was wonderful. Not too soggy, not too cooked. Just plain ‘ole delicious.

I LOVE bread pudding! I order it every time I see it on the menu and I make it at home durring the Holidays ect. So when I say ‘Ohana’s Bananas Foster Bread Pudding is the BEST, I have a lot to compare to!
Confession: even when we are not eating at ‘Ohana we have talked the bartenders at the Tambu Lounge into getting us a serving! YUMMY!!!!!!!
John Grigas says
Bananas are a terrific match for Bread Pudding, I think. My favorite ones are always Banana-centric.
I know we’re limiting the choices to these 3, but the O’hana bread pudding is actually my 2nd Favorite at WDW . . . My favorite is the Cinnamon Banana Bread Pudding at Tusker House.
Danielle says
‘Ohana!! It is the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life and I am a big fan of sweets.
Valerie says
Ohana…the only dessert all of us could agree on and fought over.
Dale says
O’hana!!
Marcellina says
To me, ice cream makes everything better so that rules out Raglan Road (though that is amazing). I had to vote for Ohana –
I have even made their bread pudding at home I love it so much!
JuneBugFL says
I don’t like bread pudding, but asked my mom which her fave was and she said Ohana even though we don’t like the restaurant itself much anymore. She also said she hated Raglan Road’s, but I actually kind of liked it.
Lee says
This was a difficult decision since I like both Ragland and Ohana!!!! Could it be a tie vote? 🙂
Susan says
You missed the Banana Bread Pudding at Olivia’s! It is simply wonderful……
Patty says
I’ve only tried the RR bread pudding, but we went back 3 times during our stay to have it again and again. It is incredible!
Jenna says
Man, it’s like Sophie’s Choice up there! But ultimately, I’d have to go with Raglan Road. For one thing, I have to point out that it’s not just bread pudding, it’s bread-and-butter pudding, so every single slice of bread is buttered before it’s assembled. My taste buds are singing and my arteries are crying! Second, that’s no mere caramel sauce in that pitcher. It’s *butterscotch* sauce and so much better than caramel, in my opinion. It’s also the first thing I’ve ever cooked from a restaurant cookbook and said, “This tastes *just* like I remember!” So good. I will confess to making it with chocolate chips for raisin-averse friends (and it’s just as good that way).

Going to DW in Sept/Oct. Have not tried the bread puddings before. I am from New Orleans so I am somewhat trained in bread pudding :o) But I am dining at both Ohana’s and California Grill. Will have to give my opinion when I get back.
Suzannah DiMarzio says
I have to go with Raglan Road as well. Perfection! (and I’m not even a bread pudding fan really!) Another one we recently discovered but isn’t technically at WDW is the bread pudding at Columbia restaurant in Celebration. White chocolate bread pudding with Bacardi rum sauce and let me tell you, that sauce is STRONG!!
😀 Go, Raglan Road, go!!
Jackie says
I tried the White Chocolate Bread Pudding at the House of Blues recently and, HOLY COW!!! It was absolutely to die for!! Love the bread pudding at ‘Ohana, but, sometimes it’s nice not to always have banana! 🙂 HOB got my vote on this poll!

We held an ‘Ohana-inspired luau party for friends from church last weekend. I used a bunch of ‘Ohana recipes off the Internet including the one for the bread pudding. My mother-in-law said it was the best bread pudding she’s ever had. Can’t recall exactly how close it was to the “original” but it was good…
Karen says
Hi- Just found this when looking for Ohana bread pudding recipe. I had also found it on allears. I am questioning the recipe a bit- when we went this year the chef insisted on giving my husband a different dessert- my husband has a tree nut allergy & the chef said there was coconut in the bread pudding (which wouldn’t have affected my hubby- we thought maybe they were afraid of lawsuits). None of the recipes I find mention coconut. Hmmmmm….
AJ says
Karen — ‘Ohana uses their pineapple coconut bread to make the bread pudding; that’s where the coconut comes from I believe
Marie says
I know this is an old pose but has anyone had House of Blues’ new white chocolate bourbon bread pudding? After reading this I was so excited to try it and but read they changed the menu this fall! It sounds like it no longer comes with ice cream and has a bourbon sauce instead of the white sauce. Can anyone confirm or has anyone tried it? Bummed!!!
