Our second annual WDW Foodie Fest in Walt Disney World is only ONE week away! (And we just ordered extra Mickey Bars and Mickey Rice Krispie Treats for our October 2nd Main Event, so you gotta come help us eat ’em)!
Whether you stop by to participate in the scavenger hunt, or to just hang out with food and fellow foodie fans, it’s sure to be an awesome time!
Scavenger Hunt Specs
The focus (besides the food!) at the Foodie Fest Main Event on October 2nd will be our 2011 scavenger hunt through Epcot and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. You will need Epcot admission to participate in this hunt. Those who finish will be eligible to win a prize!!
How It Works
You’ll be able to pick up your scavenger hunt pages at the Foodie Fest Registration Tables. Both hunts will require participants to find answers to clues. Use those answers to discover the master clue! Once the master clue is solved, participants will return to WDW Foodie Fest Headquarters (Ariel’s at the Beach Club) and submit their master clue answer.
With Kids?
A hunt has been developed for those participating WITH small children. It will have easier clue questions and focus more on locations that kids will find fun.
Without Kids?
This hunt is for those participating with kids age 8 and older, or with all-adult teams. It will have tougher clue questions and require a little more mental energy.
Those who have solved the master clue will be entered into a drawing to win some great prizes! ALL teams/individuals who solve the master clue will be highlighted in a “WDW Foodie Fest” post on The Disney Food Blog.
When and Where
The hunts will begin at WDW Foodie Fest Headquarters (Ariel’s at the Beach Club) around 11am.
Because there’s no “race” element to the hunts, feel free to get started whenever you arrive. However, you must finish and turn in your master clue answer before the close of the Foodie Fest at 1pm to be entered into the drawing for prizes.
The prize drawing will be conducted at random after the event. We will contact winners by email or phone to confirm where we should send prizes.
Teams are welcome to participate in the WDW Foodie Fest Scavenger Hunt, so feel free to go out on the hunt as a group. Prizes may or may not be divisible, however, so if your team wins a prize, your team captain will be in charge of distributing it as he/she sees fit.
Be sure to register here if you’re interested in attending the WDW Foodie Fest Main Event. While it’s not necessary to register to attend, it helps us know how many scavenger hunts to print and how many Mickey Bars to order!
We’re excited to see you at the WDW Foodie Fest! Be sure to check out the schedule of events here!

About WDW Foodie Fest
Join the Disney Food Blog team during the first week of the 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival as we gather to celebrate Disney food!
Currently we have four WDW Foodie Fest events scheduled. Let’s review the schedule…
Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, 11am-1pm: WDW Foodie Fest Main Event
We’ll be at our very own private location — Ariel’s in Disney’s Beach Club Resort — from 11am-1pm enjoying the comforts of this beautiful (and air-conditioned!) space.
This FREE event is available to everyone, and is an “open house”, so just stop in whenever you’re available (no need to stay the full two hours, though you’re welcome to do so :-D). We’ll provide the snacks and games, and you’ll have the option to head out on our Scavenger Hunt through Epcot.
Thursday, October 6, 2011, 11am-?: WDW Foodie Fest Sweet Stroll
Join me for a trip around the world — Epcot-style! The focus on this stroll around World Showcase will be fabulous desserts! I’ll lead the way to my favorite sweet treats and we’ll see how many we can master!
We’ll be starting in Mexico and meeting at the La Cantina de San Angel tables across from the Mexico Pyramid. It’s free to stroll with us, but budget enough to cover any yummy treats you’d like to try.
Friday, October 7, 2011, 5:30pm-?: WDW Foodie Fest Sushi and Sake Meet
Join me at Kimonos at the Disney World Swan Resort for sushi, sake, good fun, and friends! With great sake and maybe some Karaoke — this is sure to be a memorable evening with friends. Oh, and even if you don’t like sushi, they have some awesome chicken on a stick! 😉
We’re not sure how long this one will last, but we’ll likely be there for about two hours before I head out to the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic! Cost is free to drop by the meet-up! Food and drink purchases are at your expense.
Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, 8:30-9:30pm: WDW Foodie Fest Snack Attack Illuminations Dessert Party, Featuring DFB Favorites!
**EVENT SOLD OUT**
Thank you for your overwhelming interest in this event!! For those of you with tickets, this will be a memorable Disney Food event featuring Disney Food Blog favorite snacks and an incredible viewing of IllumiNations, Reflections of Earth. I can’t wait to have all of my favorite snacks within reach!
If you didn’t get a ticket, the event will likely be returning next year!
