Let’s face it. There are a few foodie experiences at Walt Disney World and Disneyland that we don’t normally find at our hometown restaurants!
We thought it would be fun to put a few “You know you’re eating in Disney World when…” thoughts together, and we’d love to hear your additions!
Leave us a comment with your own “You know you’re eating in Disney World or Disneyland when…” experience! 😉
You Know You’re Eating In Disney World When…
There are strangers eating in the back seat of your car.
You memorize the color of the soap in the bathroom while your kids willingly set the table.
You can’t wait to take a bite out of a mouse ear.
You get bragging rights for eating dinner while watching fireworks.
You ask a yellow bear if he has a rumbly in his tumbly.
You had something called POG juice, jungle juice, or frunch with your morning meal.
You can drink around the World, then take a boat or monorail “home.”
Prince Charming really does stop to say hello!
It makes perfect sense to have lunch while being entertained by an alien named Sonny.
You just paid $25 for a burger (and you’re OK with that).
You’re excited to have a mouse in the kitchen.
You take great pleasure at waving a napkin in the air. Repeatedly.
You can snack around the world without bringing your passport.
Your waffle has a face.
Chocolate means more if it’s shaped like a shoe.
You’re eating in a spinning restaurant. With a Chipmunk.
We’ve had great fun with this post, so be sure to look for a Part Two!

…. you are stuffed from your steak and eggs from breakfast at 8am, yet find it completely acceptable (in fact you’d have it no other way), to eat a hunking turkey leg at 10am as a mid-morning snack, nevermind that you can barely eat a quarter of it.

You know you’re eating in Disney when, even though you’re in the middle of stuffing your face, you excitedly leap up from your seat to participate in doing The Hustle with a bunch of enthusiastic Cast Members, and nobody–CM or Guest–has any qualms about embarrassing him or herself because they’re having so much fun!

Where is the chocolate shoe from?
Kim says
Hi Tina, that specific picture was taken at our 10th anniversary vow renewal where we had a reception at the Grand Floridian.
However, you can also get the slipper delivered to a GF restaurant or Cinderella’s Royal Table. Here’s more info on ordering: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/06/30/celebrate-with-a-chocolate-cinderella-slipper/.
I recently had one for my birthday at a GF restaurant and it was as delicious as ever!!!
