The walls have been up around the Plaza Pavilion for a few months now in preparation for the new Jolly Holiday Bakery, featuring a Mary Poppins theme, on Main Street USA in Disneyland.
Both Carnation Cafe and Blue Ribbon Bakery are scheduled to close on December 31, 2011, to make way for a 6 month expansion of Carnation Cafe (indoor seating again!) and permanent closure of The Blue Ribbon Bakery, which will be replaced by Jolly Holiday Bakery “Coming Soon” in “Winter” or “2012” depending on which of their signs you are reading.
I’ve “heard” the official date opening is sometime in January 2012. Maybe I show up in my Halloween costume?

So does this mean Carnation Cafe will be closed from Jan to June? I’m going in mid April and was hoping to go to my fav spot in DL for breakfast. Oh well!

John B — It sounds like that may be the case! Possibly they’ll set up service elsewhere? We don’t have all the details yet. Fingers crossed!
