For our “happy hour Friday” post, we’re happy to welcome back Chef BigFatPanda with a new seasonal drink recipe inspired by a great event — Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
Chef’s DIY Disney column here on the Disney Food Blog treats us to step-by-step directions to make at-home recipes that remind us of our favorite Disney destinations. His latest beverage continues a series of unique magical drinks.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Drink
Clearly this one will remind you of the holiday season! With cinnamon, ginger, and coffee flavors, I wonder if this might even taste great as a warm drink! Reminds me of a fun drink I once had at the Dawa bar during a cold, rainy, holiday season!
Chef says, “This is a strong one with all the flavor and spice of the season! I might consider some whip cream and perhaps a candy cane hanging off the glass to dress it up in the future.”
Over ice:
1.5 oz Kahlua
1 oz of Cinnamon Schnapps
1 oz of Ginger Vodka
2.5 oz of Milk (lowfat is fine)
Merry Tipsy Christmas! Let me know what you think!

As usual this looks tasty. I wonder if substituting cream for the milk will bump it up a little. If I had some ginger vodka, I would try it right now … well I mean this evening as it is morning here.

OMG Alan – I bet that would taste amazing actually. I was trying to keep it from being too indulgent, but WHY NOT? LOL – Still going to try it even though the holidays are done.

I tried it and cut down a bit on the cinnamon schnapps and vodka, just sprinkling ginger on top. Still tastes amazing and does taste good hot! 🙂

P.S. I wonder if the concoction, if measured just right, could be put into coffee? I might just try Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Coffee this year!
