UPDATE: Read about the Opening Date for Be Our Guest Restaurant and Reservations Info!
In a great video by Disney Parks Blog, we get to see a little bit of the Imagineering that’s going into the most anticipated restaurant in the Disney World Fantasyland expansion — Be Our Guest Restaurant!
According to Disney Parks Blog, “Imagineers recently put the finishing touches on one of its major elements: a massive mural that will serve as the restaurant’s backdrop. Here, Ted shows how WDI combined digital technology with traditional artistry to create a sweeping landscape that gives guests the feeling that they really are walking into a part of the film.”
Disney World’s Be Our Guest Restaurant is scheduled to open in “Late 2012.” While we currently don’t know when reservations will be available, we do know a few great secrets about the restaurant — like what the Be Our Guest Restaurant dining rooms will be! We even know some of the Be Our Guest Restaurant special effects guests will enjoy!

I am SO impatiently waiting to hear when they will begin taking ADRs/when the restaurant will be open. We have our next trip scheduled for 11/10-11/18 and I am hoping it is open for our trip! I would love to be able to check it out and eat there!
Any idea if dinner will be 1 table service credit or 2?
Trisha — Me, too!! I’m really hoping to go in October. Not sure on table service credits. We’ve been told that the restaurant will be counter-service during the day and table-service at night.

I saw concept art for this restaurant in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Walt-Disney-Imagineering-Behind-Dreams/dp/1423107667/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1331229285&sr=1-1 two years ago, and ever since I have been (not so patiently) waiting for this restaurant! I am SO EXCITED I can hardly contain myself! I can only imagine that the food is going to be absolutely Heavenly! The concept art showed Lumiere on a cart–think Remy in Les Chefs de France–and it also showed the Beast, so it just seems like it’s going to be an experience unlike any other restaurant experience at the World! SO EXCITED.
And for once, we might FINALLY able to leave Philharmagic knowing that we really can eat those yummy things we smelled during the “Be Our Guest” sequence! Hurray!
‘Late 2012’ doesn’t sound hopeful for October does it? 🙁 It seems that there’s a load of us that want it to be open then for our trip!!! Fingers crossed 🙂
From what I’ve read and heard Disney is officially stating the restaurant opens in late 2012 but it could open sometime in the late summer with the rest of the B&TB realm. I read the soft open could last from late September to late October and ADR’s will begin to book during the soft open so that ADR’s can be fufilled beginning November. We are saving a dining credit for this just in case it accepts during our November trip.

We’re going the end of November and the Be Our Guest Restaurant is something I’m very excited about. I’m hoping we’re late enough in the year to be able to enjoy this new place. Has anymore been heard about the audioanimatronic ‘Lumiere’ that is supposed to greet guests as they dine? I’m so anxious to hear the opening date. Thanks for the dessert, cupcake, and snack series; I’ve really been enjoying them!
I am so excited to see all of the new things! But I feel like I should stop looking at pictures and videos so I can experience it all for the first time with my family. Can’t wait until our next trip around Thanksgiving. But don’t let this stop you from posting everything you can find because I feel like I’ll still be sneaking peaks! 🙂

DH and I went to WDW for our first time in Sept 2011. On that trip we decided we would go back to celebrate my 60th birthday on Valentine’s day 2013 with the hopes of having my birthday dinner at Be Our Guest. I sure hope we will be able to eat there as he always calls me Beauty and of coarse I call him Beast!
PS: Due to this website I planned our meals and every one of the places we ate at were fabulous. Thank you so much for the help with planning my first trip.

I absolutely LOVE Disney world and will be going back this thanksgiving. I’ve been doing more research than is honestly necessary but I’ve read a lot about this restaurant and heard it would be open “for the holidays” and was wondering if anyone knew more about the opening date and menu?
Hi Caitlin! Opening date is simply “late 2012” or “for the holiday season” right now. Disney hasn’t been more specific than that. Also, menu hasn’t been announced, but we do know it will be counter service for lunch and table service for dinner. 🙂

I am going down Thanksgiving week….cannot wait to see all the new Fantasyland stuff and this restaurant too. Hoping that the Christmas decorations will be up as well. BUT…may have to go back after Christmas, just in case I missed anything. 🙂
We are soooo excited for the new part of fantasyland to be completed! It is going to be great. Can’t wait to have dinner in the Beauty and Beast castle. We will be there 2 weeks before Christmas. Hope it’s open. But, if not we will have come back in the Spring.
