OK, we’ve got an interactive post today, because I need your suggestions!
I’m headed back to Disney World this Summer, and I’ve got a few treats I can’t wait to finally eat. But I’d love to hear what snacks, entrees, and other menu items you’re looking forward to eating on your next Disney visit so that I can add a few of your eagerly anticipated eats to my list! Let me know your choices in the comments!
First up, here’s what I can’t wait to try on my upcoming trip…
Chicken Waffle in the Magic Kingdom
I keep hearing raves about this giant, saucy sandwich found at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, and I’m really looking forward to trying it for myself.
I’ve had the Prosciutto waffle, but still need to try the others!
“The King” Cupcake at Pop Century Resort
Um… peanut butter frosting, chocolate cake, banana custard filling, candied bacon, and chocolate drizzle. Must have.
This Elvis-inspired King Cupcake at Everything Pop Food Court has both delighted and disgusted. What will it to do me?
Lychee Salad at Animal Kingdom
This pineapple-bound fruit salad just looks gorgeous, does it not? I can’t wait to get my healthy on and try this…
Mickey Mouse Ear Hat Brownies
The new ear hat brownies debuted in Disneyland and Disney World a few weeks ago.
They’re clearly adorable, but I can’t wait to sink my teeth into an English Toffee version.
Pastrami Burger at Art of Animation Resort
Just look at this thing! I don’t even know if I like pastrami…or Pastrami Burgers, but I must have this.
You can find it at the new Landscape of Flavors Food Court at Art of Animation Resort.
OK, Your Turn!
Let me know in the comments
what Disney treats you can’t wait to eat on your next Disney World or Disneyland visit! (Yep, those of you headed to Disneyland next have all of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street, Ghirardelli, Jolly Holiday, Candy Palace, etc, etc to try!)
Will you sample something classic, like a Dole Whip? Or maybe something new and flashy, like sushi at California Grill in the Contemporary? Perhaps you’re more of an old-fashioned fan and you’d rather get your hands on a Turkey Leg or a Citrus Swirl?
I can’t wait to hear your suggestions for my list! Thanks in advance!!

I’m going to WDW in 3 weeks and I can’t wait to try the caramel cupcake in the German pavilion at Epcot. It has caramel corn on top with caramel drizzle. IT SOUNDS TOTALLY YUMMY!!!!!
Kristina says
@ JT….the MAGIC SQUARE is truly that.
I got one to go at Trails End in the Wilderness….not knowing what it was all about. I wished I brought a dozen of those home.
Its like a normal Magic Square (caramel, chocolate, condensed milk, coconut, and a few other things)….but they add some other stuff to ‘plus’ it. I’ve been looking for the recipe and found nothing from the resort itself. (boo)

The Citrus Swirl, the brownie frosting sandwich at Earl of Sandwich, and the Carrot Cake Cookie from the Main Street Bakery. Clearly I have a sweet tooth.
Andrea says
I think the waffle sandwich is going to be a must! After being on a slow carb diet for over a year, I am planning on being STUFFED for a week on our vacation.
Andrea says

On our last trip we ate at the new pizza restaurant in Italy pavilion in Epcot – is it Via Napoli. We had the pizza with canteloupe and prosciutto……OMG, best pizza I, or my husband ever ate!!! We are planning another trip for February and it is on the top of our list in terms of repeat meals:)

I’m excited to try anything at Karamell-Kuche, a Grey Goose slush in France, and the school bread in Norway!

Last October, I went with my family to the Not-So-Scary Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom. We hadn’t had a chance to eat before we got to the park, so I decided to brave the chicken and waffle sandwich. It was SO good! I can’t wait to go back in November this year and have another. I recommend it highly! Other favorites are the passion fruit tarts at the Tusker House at Animal Kingdom (I can’t get enough of those) and the Bavarian Cheesecake at the Biergarten.

My husband and I leave in 17 days for our anniversary trip to WDW. I can not wait to enjoy the small plates at the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar for our anniversary lunch.
Some items that are tempting us include:
A sampling of italian cheeses
The marinated olives
White asparagus with lemon and parmesan
Bruschetta di Capri
Cavatappi pasta – the one with arugula, potato, pancetta, tomatoes, and pecorino
Oh and of course a little dolce -the Torte di Nocciole Cortiemilia sounds great!
Yum! 🙂

thanks Corey!

I’m heading to Disney next week and I can’t wait to eat a caramel sundae at Ghirardeli and I’ve heard so many positive reviews about the food in Cars Land that it makes me want to go! My 4 year old son seemed pretty excited about Cars Land too!
Wendy Snelgrove says
The Veiled Maiden at Kringla in Norway (based on the Main Street Gazette review in your recent Round-Up).
Essie says
I’m going for my first Christmas trip in WDW and I’m planning on trying and taking home many gourmet cupcakes, many things from the Caramel kitchen in WS, crab legs in CMC, a caramel sundae from either B&C or Ghirardelis, gingerbread (to take home), and make your own parfait, salads and smoothies in AoA!
jdhwsp4me says
In search of the best crabcake on Disney property! We are going in September and have sampled the cakes at Coral Reef, Brown Derby, Captain Jack’s and The Wave. Any additional suggestions for crabcakes? Also, would like to see the best fried chicken on Disney property. My favorite is at the Prime Time Diner!
Isaiah says
I’m headed to WDW in 2 weeks and am looking forward to trying a few of the various hot dogs in WDW. I usually avoid eating hot dogs all year, but go on hot dog spree when I visit WDW :).
I’m also looking forward to trying a Dole Whip after eating at O’hanas. Yet I may not have room after since I could be stuffed with the Bananas Foster bread pudding.
Also, I may or may not give the Picnic Burger a try at Sci-Fi Dine in theater. 😛

Thanks, Kristina! Can’t wait to try one.
I’m gonna also need a Grey Goose slushie and one of those butterfinger cupcakes from Starring Rolls!

Right now I am sitting in EPCOT waiting for the 4th of July fireworks to start. Earlier today, I had the caramel popcorn from Germany that I had been dreamy of since my last trip. I also tried the churros from Mexico. One word, yummy! Last night five of us went to extra magic hours at MK. We ate waffles at Sleepy Hollow at 2 o’clock this morning. I have never had them before and tried them because of this blog. We all loved them! It gave us a second wind and went on to score record scores ( for us) at the Buzz Lightyear ride. The caramel apple cupcake was an option for quick service dessert at HS and I highly recommend it. The cake was tender and the filling not overly sweet. The frosting was really creamy and I would get it again in a heartbeat. We also tried the strawberry lemonade cupcake at the Contemporary. We actually tried it because it was so pretty. I loved it but couldn’t finish it , it was so big. I love your blog, thanks so much for helping us make better (food) choices on our vacation!

Going in August. Can’t wait to eat at 50’s Prime Time again…haven’t been there in years. You can get a peanut butter and jelly shake. I don’t think it’s listed but I believe you can ask for it. I know, it sounds gross but trust me…YUM! I also want to try that waffle chicken sandwich! Dole Whip…no question. I also love the cinnamon buns on Main St Bakery. I want to try Paradiso 37. The description of that corn side dish looks delish! Also eating in Germany again…we love it so much! Looking forward to trying all the caramel treats in the new shop there! Oh, and that layered margarita in AK that you mentioned before. I bought the e-books so I’ll be referring to them frequently while I’m there! 🙂
Joey B. says
I tried the chicken and waffle sandwich on my last trip, and it was amazing. I just planned another trip for the end of July/early August and cannot wait to get another one!
I think the Mickey ears brownies look amazing.
I am super excited to try Sanaa for the first time also.
Plus there are so many bakery items I have never had, even after 20+years of visits to the world.

Went to WDW 21 to 25 June 12. Here is what we found to be awesome
The Charred Strip Steak and theSeafood Cioppino at Mama Melrose at Disney Hollywood Studios. And if you are truly blessed, you will get Joanna as your waitress.
The Garden View Tea at the Grand Floridian – the scones, the trifle.
One of us had 4 servings of the Salmon from the Crystal Palace character lunch.
We took pictures of everything we liked.

I will be there the 1st week of October and the last week of November and I can’t wait to try all the cupcakes (cupcake crawl, anyone?), mickey hat brownie, and the chicken waffle.
Maggie says
That fruit salad looks delicious! A few of my fav’s are the mint tea at the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT and cream cheese wantons at the Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom. This past October we attended the Food & Wine festival at EPCOT & my husband still won’t stop talking about the ravioli at the Italian booth, I think that is his whole reason for returning to the festival again this year!
Karen says
Keep all the comments comming! My Husband & I are going in Oct. and can’t wait to try everything at the F & W festival. We have the Dining Plan and plan on getting the “biggest bang” for our buck. Can’t wait to try the King Cupcake. Love all the blogs and we’re getting a lot of great info on how to “eat our way around WDW” Thanks again!!!
