I would have to say West Wing. Looks quiet and dark after an over stimulating day at the parks. 🙂

If I had to pick just one, I’d say the Ballroom.
Can’t wait to see it.

When I saw this post, I admit to thinking, “Oh no, not yet another post on yet another blog about the Be Our Guest restaurant!” There is, understandably, a bit of oversaturation at the moment. But, of course, I read the post and watched the video and was completely and utterly entranced by the whole thing. My point is that my reaction (overexposed but still going back for more–helpless to resist) is reminiscent of the almost universal reactions to such Disney icons as the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, etc. They never grow old. You keep wanting to immerse yourself in them again and again. Though this is all conjecture on my part, it does seem they may have, in this case, tapped into that special something that makes a particular Disney experience a classic. I hope my suspicions are proved right.
As you your question about which dining room I would prefer . . . I’ve restated it in my mind as which dining room I would prefer if I were a child, and I think my ten-year-old self would have preferred the one with the character portraits on the walls, simply because the characters are prominent and I would have liked that. I came of age (and am grateful I did) before Disney made the decision to market a heavy selection of its films as “princess” movies aimed at girls, so it would never have occurred to me that the theming was not right for a boy, and I would have been completely enchanted by the twirling music box. My adult self prefers either of the other too rooms, depending on which manic-depressive state I am in . . . the ballroom for a high, the west wing for a low! Of course, anyplace is a good place to eat the gray stuff.

The Rose Gallery would be my first choice. The West Wing looks interesting, but almost too dark for me. I need to see! The Ballroom is beautiful, but too big. Think it might get too loud in there for my taste.
Aubrey says
I agree with Kris. I think the ballroom will be quite loud and it is a little too “clean” in decor for my taste. The West Wing is intriguing, but I know my parents and not like how dark it is. I really live the Rose Gallery though. Comfy and inviting, and I know I will live checking out all of the artwork in there! Of course, I will be so happy to finally see it in person I won’t care much what room I end up in!

We were there on the 18th and they did not have the restaurant open for us to go through.
I am so glad you posted this! We did get to take a walk through the new area, though.
The CM playing Gaston was hilarious! Lefous brew…was pretty good, epecially on a hot day.
Love the new area!

Before watching this I would’ve said the ballroom, however I think I prefer the dark, atmospheric look of the West Wing. Can’t wait!

I would love to dine in the West Wing. The dark, mysterious atmosphere is intriguing. We will be dining at Be Our Guest on 12/30, and maybe I’ll get my wish! Can you add a requested room to your ADR?
Dani says
My only erk is that there is supposed to be a giant double staircase on one end of the ballroom is there not? It would be amazing to have a wedding there and come down the staircase, but it isn’t there. Gorgeous ceiling though!
