Jaia says
Brilliant move!!!
AJ says
Jaia — Agreed! 🙂
Alan says
I’m sure the restaurants in that area aren’t to happy, but what great fun this is. They ought to rotate the items to add some variety. A few of these different snacks would be a great way to top off an evening of Christmas shopping at the Marketplace!
Wendy says
Hoping this stays till we visit in January.
Rach says
I wonder if they’d refill the F&W stein? 😎
Unfortunately my faves, the vegan dishes from Terra (& I’m a carnivore!), aren’t there.
AJ, a question – you’ve mentioned before your dislike of cilantro. Since I too can’t eat the stuff, & Chimichurri sauce is usually loaded with it, how was the skewer for you?
Dani says
This is such a wonderful holiday surprise!!! And yay for the Florida booth getting some reboot love!
Katherine J says
Is there any dates released as to when this will end? I would love to go and experience this!
Jeannie says
Are snack credits good for these?
Jodi says
Can you use a snack credit for these?
Pudge the Fish says
I would imagine that you could still use dining plan snack credits. Does anyone know for sure?
Erin F says
My oldest daughter will literally cry with joy when I tell her that we can get the beef skewers during our Christmas visit. She still talks about them from a F&W visit several years ago. Happy, happy!
Alexa says
I think it’s a good idea, but at the same time, that’s why I look forward to Food and Wine every year. It won’t be as special if it’s “extended.”
Karen says
This is brilliant! Is this a permanent kiosk?
Kim says
Alan – Desserts after shopping works for me! 😉
Wendy – No info on how long the kiosks will be open. We’ll keep our readers posted when we get more details.
Rach – Sorry to hear that your favorites aren’t on the menu. 🙁 I’ll find out AJ’s take on the beef skewers and let you know.
Kim says
Dani – Agreed! It’s great nod to the Florida Local booth especially since it was its first appearance at the festival.
Katherine J – No end date released yet. We’ll update as soon as we get more info.
Jeannie and Jodi – According to the menus, snack credits may be used. Hooray!
Kim says
Pudge the Fish – Snack credits may be used!
Erin F – Hooray!!!
Alexa – Since there’s only a handful of items, I think the uniqueness of the Festival can hold its own. It’s madness at Downtown Disney during the holidays so it definitely offers hungry shoppers a fun alternative. We’ll have to see how long the kiosks are open. 😉
Kim says
Karen – So far we think these booths are an alternative option for the crowds during the holidays. We’ll let our readers know once we get more info!
Kim says
Rach- Here’s AJ’s message about those beef skewers: “it’s OK — ask for the sauce on the side just in case :)”
Rach says
Thanks Kim & AJ! I’m going to try to hit the booths early on a weekday when I’m down there in a couple weeks.
Mark Hickson says
AJ, great story!
I believe the “spicy” mayo dressing on the Hawaiian pork sliders has a touch of Japanese Wasabi in it.
Mary says
I loved the ravioli and wish that was offered. Glad the lamb isn’t there as I got sick on that this trip.
