The 20th Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom from March 6 – May 19, 2013 at the Walt Disney World Resort.
And best of all for us Disney food fans, the chefs will create exclusive festival eats at cooking stations around World Showcase – a festival first!
We don’t have a lot of info yet, but the booths may be like last year’s Haiti kiosk where we discovered the tastiest frozen lemonade!
While the chefs are creating the menu, we’ll be dreaming about the kind of festival flavors that might be offered at the multiple festival-themed food and beverage kiosks.
For now, we know the menu will include backyard barbecue and a multitude of global tastes. We can also look for garden-inspired eats as well!
At Epcot’s entrance, the topiary experts at Disney will feature Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck floral scene showing the Fab Five (plus Daisy) enjoying a cook-out. The 14-foot tall Goofy will be seen with a teetering anniversary cake. Watch out! Mickey’s on grill duty, while Pluto is after some hot dog links. As Donald and Daisy play a friendly game of badminton, Minnie relaxes atop a floral blanket.
For more information, call 407-W-DISNEY (934-7639). The festival, including all gardening programs and exhibits, is included in regular Epcot admission.
Will food stations at the Flower and Garden Festival make it a must-do for you? Let us know in the comments below.

I got the hibiscus lemonade last year at the Haiti booth, and it was delicious! It was a rum-based drink, and it wasn’t too sweet. It had just the right amount of tart to it. I’m not a big coconut person, but you could get the two mixed together (hibiscus and coconut), or just the coconut. I did ask when I was paying if many people ordered the coconut, and they told me that the hibiscus was the big seller.

FUN! That sounds like a great theme/idea for the flower festival! I love it.

I’m so excited to hear this! It’ll add such a wonderful new dimension to F&G. I hope they feature dishes with edible flowers.

Anytime there is “extra” food involved at Epcot, I am in. My wife and I visit at least once per month, just to eat a few items. Whether it’s the pizza window at Via Napoli, some tequila and snacks at La Cava, or just a croissant sandwich at the bakery in France, we are some eating people. I am definitely looking forward to the Flower and Garden Festival in 2013!

Sounds Cool! I wish though, that it was less similar to the F&W festival. I wasnt at the F&G festival last year, but it sounds like the same, with different countries. Maybe, this time they could do different booths based on different plants or herbs, that would be cool.

Cannot wait!
I think the food booths will add to the fun.
My only problem is that I can only go maybe once every 2 years or so, but it seems like no matter what month I decide to go, Paul Revere and the Raiders follows! Just once I would like to have seen Peter Noone, (sigh)

Bravo! Can’t wait for some great Italian and New Orleans outdoor food and then wash it down with a cool Sam Adams Lager.

I am excited about all the themed food for Flower & Garden. Will any of the non-alcohol items be available as DDP snack credits ?
