One of the most exciting new spots at Walt Disney World to open this year is Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and I got to stay at AoA as it celebrated its very first holiday season! I couldn’t wait to see what new treats would be available, and I wasn’t disappointed when I found this little gem…
Pumpkin Pecan Tart
There in the ready-made case, I spied the Pumpkin Pecan Tart. I haven’t found this anywhere else on property, though it may be at the other value resorts (lemme know if you find it!).

Opening the clam shell container, I could tell this would be fantastic! The topping looked like the best sticky, ooey-gooey pecan pie, and the thick crust looked perfect. Something else to note: see the white stuff? You think it’s whipped cream, right? So did I. But actually, it’s cream cheese frosting. The best condiment ever? I think so.
Cutting the tart in half finally revealed the creamy pumpkin custard that was beneath the pecan pie topping. This is like having two of your very favorite holiday pies all in one!

The top half delivered, as it tasted just like it looked: the best part of a gooey pecan pie. And the pumpkin filling was cool, creamy, and flavorful.
A little frosting and a bit of the tart made the perfect bite construction!
Bite of Tart with Cream Cheese Frosting
The rich, caramelly, sticky goodness of the pecan pie coupled with the creamy spiced pumpkin filling was out of this world. And of course, the sweet-tangy cream cheese frosting was an ideal texture and taste accompaniment.
I was so excited to find this awesome treat at AoA, and I hope it makes its way to other locations stat! Even if its just a holiday addition, it could easily take up residence year-round and sell. Loved it!

These are two of my favorite flavors! I can’t wait to try them together.
I had them the other week when i was staying at the art of animation.. this has to be by far one of the best deserts i have ever had defiantly in the top 5. Every bit was equally tasty. the only thing wrong is stat they are so heavy, when you are done eating that portion you are done for the rest of the day. But it gives you something to look forward to when it is time for desert the next day..

Thanks for the review of this dessert. This was one of the reasons we decided to walk across the lake from Pop Century and check out Landscape of Flavors, and we were not disappointed.
This was one of the best things I ate all week. It’s a perfect combination of two fall/Thanksgiving favorites. HIGHLY recommended!
