We’ve mentioned this news previously on our Disney Food News Pin Board, but we’ve just gotten a bit more detail!
If Boardwalk Bakery at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is one of your favorite stops for breakfast, lunch, or sweet treats, you’ll want to plan accordingly for the spot’s upcoming renovation. The Bakery will be closed beginning Sunday, January 6, through Friday, April 26, for renovations.

What’s being added? Lots!!
Fans of the old-fashioned bakery can expect a new entrance, queue area, and refillable mug station when the space reopens in the spring. More menu items will also be added, like soups and even more sandwiches.
Will the Peanut Butter Cake Make the Move to the Temporary Location? We Hope So!
But don’t panic! Due to the spot’s overwhelming popularity, there will be a temporary location set up during the closure. You’ll find the tent located between the Boardwalk To Go kiosk and Boardwalk Joe’s Margarita Bar.
The temporary location will offer a limited selection of pastries, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Belle Vue Lounge, tucked off of the hotel’s main lobby, will still be open for continental breakfast as usual.
For guests who receive refillable mugs as part of their Disney Dining Plan (or who are just looking to purchase the fun souvenir), you’ll still be able to pick up the mugs at the temporary tent location, or at Seashore Sweets, located adjacent to the Bakery.

However, the refilling stations for the mugs will work a little differently. Guests can refill their mugs at the temporary location from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily. After 11 a.m., refills will be available at the Boardwalk Pizza Window until midnight.

Guests can also refill their mugs during these hours at Bellevue Lounge, Seashore Sweets, and Leaping Horse. (Please note also that Leaping Horse will also be closed during a scheduled pool renovation from January 28 through early March.)

I see the price of the refillable mugs has gone up. It wasn’t that much when I was there just last August. As with everything, Disney prices keep rising.
So excited to see this! We love the Boardwalk Bakery, and it’s always nice to see them adding on to everyone’s favorite things at the parks!
Any indication that this might go Starbucks too?
Heather — As far as we know, the only planned Starbucks at the moment are six locations inside the parks.
They’re reopening the day we arrive this Spring! 🙂 So excited. I *LOVE* the Boardwalk Bakery.
Me and my family love it at the boardwalk bakery, their cakes are devine, cant wait to see the changes.
Can anyone tell me if the cheesecake brownie is available at the temporary location??? That was my favorite and I was looking forward to enjoying it on our upcoming trip!
