Recent changes at Pepper Market at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort have resulted in brand new lunch and dinner menus at the food court.
Over the past several months, Pepper Market has gone through a series of menu changes. Prior to December 2011, the counter service spot offered a unique cafeteria-style experience, allowing guests to select their meal from a wide array of items. In early 2012, the restaurant switched to a buffet service; and on January 1, 2013, the new a la carte menu went into effect.
While the restaurant’s popular all-day buffet (and never-ending burritos) is gone, the meal is still a Quick Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan, and the lunch and dinner menus are varied and interesting.
Guests can still expect a healthy assortment of Mexican- and American-inspired dishes, including the popular burrito with steak, rice, and beans … and a lot of delicious cheese sauce!
Here’s a peek at the new, a la carte breakfast and dinner menus (lunch is still a work in progress, but we’ll share the details with you as soon as they’re available):

Looks good, right?
We’re looking forward to taste-testing some of the new options, especially the Crème Brûlée French Toast on the new breakfast menu. We’ll let you know what we think soon!
What do you think of the new a la carte menu at Pepper Market? What would be your first choice?

This make me sad. I stayed at Cornado in Sept 2012, and loved the breakfast buffet! Im returning in Sept 2013 and Ill be sad but Ill have to try this a la carte menu and get back to you on how I feel. ;(

Personally, I loved the buffets and thought they were a steal. The dinner menu has always been a la carte and it is also very good. I am sad that they took the buffets away, but the a la carte options looked delicious, and pretty reasonable for Disney.

Sooo…”ala carte” means its just back to the way it used to be with the stations set up almost “food court” style only you pay at the end like a restaurant? Or is it a traditional restaurant now?

So happy to hear this! The buffet breakfast was enough to keep me away from this resort. Not a fan of buffets and it was not worth the money for my appetite. So glad I can put Coronado Springs back on my radar!

Awesome! Very happy to hear this. Previously there was very little on offer for vegetarians (always had to ask them to leave something out) – and now it looks like a lot of options without having to be a squeaky wheel. Yay! Thank you for posting this, I haven’t stayed at Coronado Springs for a while and now I will make a point to!

The changes may be a little disappointing to some, but the food is still interesting a cut above most of the food courts.

Janel and Katie — I wish I’d had a chance to try the buffets!! The one time I went, I didn’t realize the lunch buffet closed at 2. Ugh. Anyway, we’ll see how this new incarnation works.
NT3 — You know, I’m not 100% sure how involved a server is at this point! I need to check it out, or hear from someone who’s already been. I’m hoping there’s an actual server bringing the food, but I can’t see that happening for a counter service credit.
Jenn — Glad to hear it!! Let us know what you think when you go!
Jasmine Becket-Griffith — Fantastic!! So glad you’re excited about it!
Alan — Agreed; and this level of quality for a counter service credit on the Dining Plan is impressive.

That creme brulee french toast sounds fabulous!
We stayed there about 10 years ago and really liked Pepper Market. Since our trip was in December & the parks closed earlier, we ate supper there around 8pm several nights during our family trip. They offered a great variety and the food was very good.

We just came home from Disney. We stayed at CN and had three meals there. We had 1 quick service meal left on the day we checked out, so we chose Pepper Market for breakfast. Overall, everyone was satisfied. My husband’s omelet was a little “dry”… I got the creme brulee French toast. It was awesome!!! Disney has some of the best food I’ve eaten.
