Awesome news! We reported late last year that the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival would be expanding their specialty food offerings this year. And according to the Orlando Sentinel, there have been a few menu items announced for the highly anticipated Garden Marketplace booths at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival this year (March 6-May 19)!
For the first time, the Flower and Garden Festival will offer multiple food booths featuring regional goodies from the United States and some of the World Showcase countries.
Menu Items Will Include:
- Shrimp and Stone Ground Grits with Andouille Sausage, fresh Zellwood Corn, Tomatoes and Cilantro
- Angel Food Cake with macerated Florida Berries
- Watermelon Salad with Pickled Red Onions
- Baby Arugula, Feta Cheese and Balsamic Reduction
- Sweet “Frushi” made with Fresh Fruits and Coconut Rice
- Nonalcoholic drinks will include chilled rose blush lemonade and strawberry slush
AND….
Dole Whip with Spiced Rum!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, please!!
Marketplaces Will Include:
To showcase these goodies, 12 specialty themed marketplaces will be set up around Epcot. These will include:
- Smokehouse Barbecue and Brew at American Adventure
- Florida Fresh at the World Showcase Promenade
- Primavera Kitchen in the Italy Pavilion
- And more!
I can’t wait to make the rounds of this soon-to-be food-lovers destination! Please note that all menu items and marketplaces are subject to change.

I was really debating my April trip. Money is suddenly very tight due to some unforseen expenses. Despite my name I’ve never traveled specifically to WDW for a single food item.
This. THIS however. This may be worth the $1000 hit!
Jasmine Becket-Griffith says
Wow! This all sounds so much fun, and can’t pass up a Dole Whip with Spiced Rum. Wow!
Jacky says
Is the Zellwood Corn like the roasted corn you get at fairs? If it is that is awesome! I always attend the Flower and Garden festival for my birthday every year! I can’t wait to try these new food booths!
wyndy says
XD my mother cant wait to try the dole whip with spiced rum
Jays says
Wow! Any idea if DDP snack credits can be used for these items?

Perfect! I have always said it’s just a Flower and Topiary Festival if you can’t eat anything… and now it’s a proper Flower and Garden Festival. It’s going to be interesting to see how they keep the FGF and the FWF offerings different and (hopefully) exclusive of one another. The few bits and pieces that are leeking out (vegetable spelling pun), are very vegetarian in nature, and I couldn’t be happier!!! Keep it light and fresh… sugar cane mojitos and croquetas anyone?

It’s nice to finally see a change for the F&G Festival! It’s been the same year after year; hopefully this will perk things up a bit!

Dole Whip with rum????? Oh how I wish I was there to try it…Alas I leave March 1st:(
Mark D. says
I’ve gone to flower and garden every year for the past 3 years and NOW that I am not going this year because we want to try the fall, they add this stuff. You gotta be kidding.
JoAnn says
I’m not a fan of spiced rum. I think coconut flavored rum would go better with the dole whip float.
Mamaleficent says
Dole Whip with rum?!?! At Epcot?!?!?! Plus food booths a la Food and Wine?!?!?!?!?!
My jaw literally dropped, an experience I’ve never had before. Flower and Garden has gone from a mildly interesting event that happens to coincide with our trip to one of the experiences I’m really looking forward to!
Sarah says
It should be coconut rum.
Karen says
Dole Whip with Rum? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whew! I need a moment…
Julie says
Obsessed with your site. I love it all and have learned a lot of new things in preparation for my July trip. Keep up the great work!

I’m very excited about that Dole Whip and all the other eats. My foodie teen wasn’t terribly jazzed about the Flower & Garden Festival, but I sent her this information and she’s dying to go now!
Sandi says
Adding a few more Epcot days to my April trip itinerary!!! I have gnashed my teeth over the fact that I can’t get to the world in the fall (school teacher), but now an improvement to my Spring Break festival!!! Can’t wait. Top of the list, Dole Whip with spiced rum!!! Sigh…
Steph B says
I’m sooo excited about this! We have never been able to travel to wdw during food and wine, so having a mini food event is super exciting! My husband and I have 2 kid free nights planned at Epcot…thank goodness my mom and dad are coming with us this year, we are saving tons of money not using the in-room babysitting!
Denise McMann says
Wonderful news, just what F&G needs. I can’t wait!
Mike says
Hi Guys When will the full Flower and Garden Website be available with all the news about the 2013 Food and Beverage Kiosks , their Menus and pricing? Can’t wait for this awesome event.

Wish they had the Citrus Swirl also.
