If you’re looking for an indulgent way to enjoy some elegance at Walt Disney World this year — or scoping out a great way to escape for some mother/daughter (or daddy/daughter!) time — look no further than the Waldorf Astoria Orlando‘s Royal Tea!
Located within Disney World’s Main Gates in the Bonnet Creek area, the Waldorf is close to all the excitement (you can almost touch the Tower of Terror from your hotel room). But you’re worlds away when you’re ready to relax (believe me; it makes SUCH a difference)!
The great news is that even if you aren’t staying at the Waldorf Astoria, you can indulge your senses (and your taste buds) with the acclaimed Royal Tea in Peacock Alley on Sundays!
For only $30 per adult and $15 per child, this is an affordable way to truly enjoy the high life for a day (There’s even live piano music). It’s the perfect mother/daughter escape — a REAL tea party!
The Royal Tea is available on Sunday afternoons in February from 3-5pm. If your trip is scheduled for later in the year, be sure to call and ask if the Tea will be available during your stay. For reservations (highly recommended!), call 407-597-5409.
A variety of teas are offered, and you can indulge in goodies like tea sandwiches, scones, tarts, macaroons, and other deliciousness. (And though she might love to try the tea, juices are likely available for your little one if that’s more to her liking.)
Would your kiddo love to dress up and indulge in a real tea party while in Disney World? Let us know in the comments below!

Does the hotel charge for parking, or validate when using their restaurant?
AJ says
Caryn — They do charge for parking, but you should be able to have your ticket validated and only pay the $5 remainder. 🙂

Roasted turkey sandwich with dried cranberry cream cheese on CARROT CAKE?! Sign me up. That sounds ah-mazing.

We have a reservation booked at the Garden View Tea Room at the end of the month. My 5 year old twin girls wanted this more than a character meal. “Tea time” is one of their favorite activity. It’s our first time so we can’t wait. Also, I wonder if the Waldorf does gluten free as good as Disney?
AJ says
Becca — I’m with you 100%!
Lise — That sounds like SO much fun!! You guys are going to have a blast. I’m sure that the Waldorf can handle gluten allergies very well, but it never hurts (with Disney as well) to discuss it when you call for a reservation.

Sounds like you get a better deal at the Garden View Tea Room, for tea time. I think the price is about the same with more courses and more selection of teas. Plus it is available most of the time not just Sundays.
