Today, I have a hankering for sandwiches. And you know that some of the best meals between two pieces of bread (or what have you) can be found at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Open-Faced Chicken Sandwich at Norway’s Akershus
Whoa! It is seriously time for me to get myself back to Akershus! This Open-Faced Chicken Sandwich and Garden Vegetable Soup combo look incredible! And check out the awesome Henna in the background!

Holiday Sandwich at Earl of Sandwich
is the place to go for sammiches in Disney World and Disneyland, and an all-time favorite menu item for many of us is the Holiday Sandwich. Thanksgiving Dinner on the go!

Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Sandwich at Pooh Corner in Disneyland
Ah, now…you didn’t think I’d pass up a chance to talk about dessert sandwiches, did you? There are so many excellent choices, but one of my very favorites is the Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Sandwich found only in Disneyland (we used to get it in Disney World, too but, alas, no longer). I’m telling you — it alone is worth a trip there!

The Open-Faced Chicken Sandwich at Akershus looks amazing for Paleo/Primal style diets! I can’t wait to try it (sans bread, of course)…. 🙂 Was the soup a meat-based vegetable soup or just vegetable?

Man, that holiday sandwich at Earl of Sandwich is addicting! We went to Disneyland over Thanksgiving, and I stopped and had one of these a few days before Thanksgiving… my family all had a bite and I had to fight them off to finish it. Well, we had ressies for Storyteller Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner and we decided we didn’t want to wait until the afternoon, so we went and had another sandwich for our Thanksgiving meal 🙂
Yummy!!

That sandwich from Akerhaus makes me wish we had booked for lunch instead of Dinner… Wonder what my chances of a little Disney Magic whipping on up on the DDP?

I am SOOO excited about the holiday sandwich.

Sarah — I believe the vegetable soup at Akershus was completely vegetable-based. My daughter (with the henna) really liked both the sandwich and the soup.
