There are plenty of well-loved spots to eat all over Walt Disney World. (Don’t I know it!) But one spot that we love — and you do too, judging from your reviews, emails, and comments — is Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.
So recently, after a trip Soarin’ over California, I stopped by there for a bite to eat, and found a little snack that I can’t wait to share with you!
If you aren’t familiar with Sunshine Seasons, you need to be! It’s a huge counter service spot located on the first floor within The Land Pavilion in Epcot’s Future World. Set up as a food court, there are countless freshly made and interesting food options featured everyday at the various stations, plus many more grab n’ go desserts and snacks.
I’d heard a lot from readers about the Key Lime Tart here, and I was looking forward to trying it. Overall, you’ve got a subtantial graham cracker crust filled with key lime filling and topped with toasted meringue.
When I cut into the neat little crust, I loved how thick it was. There’s a perfect combination here of crust, filling, and topping.
The key lime filling was just tart enough, and very rich. The light meringue is a really nice complement to the filling, both from a texture and flavor standpoint.
Oh, Sunshine Seasons, you have another winner!
So, my recommendation for dessert at Sunshine Seasons? Come hungry! We’re already wild about the strawberry shortcake as well as the really cool cupcake options here, and now we’ll add this one to our Hall of Fame as well!

Is the key lime tart your favorite Sunshine Seasons treat? Tell us all about it!
AJ,
I most definitely agree with your review! I tried this tart during my trip in February and it has become my favorite dessert at Sunshine Seasons. I thought you should know, however, that this is actually an updated version of the Key Lime Tart. The previous tart was slightly larger with much less crust and a lighter, less tart filling. Overall, I am a fan of the new tart and will be ordering one again!
Looks great! I love how the desserts change at Sunshine Seasons, but I admit, I’m sad they got rid of the s’mores brownie. I set my oven on fire trying to replicate it at home.
Next time you go you should defintely check out the cappucino cupcake if it is still there. That is honestly one of my new favorites.
I had one of these for breakfast last year and it was so good, even whilst eaten in the line for the Living Seas!
This tart looks exactly like the key lime tart served at Olivia’s at Old Key West. That tart is delicious also.
Tim Rachuba — Yes — this is a new version, and I love it, too!! Thanks for sharing your review!
Stephanie — Go try the Smores Mousse Brownie thing at Liberty Inn — it’s awesome!!
Jenny — Will do! Have you had the cappuccino cupcake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Frankie — That’s awesome! Thanks for the review!
Denise — It’s a lot like the Olivia’s tart (though I like Olivia’s better — more graham cracker crust!)
Although my main dish was not too good on our last visit, my husband and I both liked this version of the key lime tart as much as the ones we normally get at Starring Rolls. Definitely a superior CS dessert!
I love the Key Lime tart over at Olivia’s it a must every time I go to Disney and I even work out a way to get it to go? 9pm Tart run anyone? So looking at this it looks a lot like that but if they would add a sauce to it then I would be sold on getting this treat.
