Welp…the time draws nigh!!!
As we reported last year, the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom is now under refurb to bring Starbucks to Disney World. We’ve been anxiously awaiting news of its re-opening, and it looks like we’re getting closer and closer!
Starbucks signage was recently spotted hanging over the bakery location in the covered walkway outside, and there’s also signage on and around the building!
We know that many of our readers are concerned that the bakery will lose its turn-of-the-century charm; but we’ve been assured that many of the Disney guest favorite items will return to the bakery cases, and the theme will be maintained to fit nicely into the rest of Main Street’s Victorian era style.
See an example in this review of the first Disney Starbucks location at Disney California Adventure.

Oh Well….. it looks like they discontinued my Cinnamon Bun!
Main St. USA will never be the same for me now….

I thought that Disney said they would keep some of the original items like the cinnamon roll?? Is this not the case? I don’t like the fact that there is no more seating in the MSB. 🙁 We have frequently enjoyed stopping in the bakery for the cinnamon roll after a day at the MK. With the cinnamon roll, even the Nescafé coffee was drinkable. 🙂

While the cinnamon roll is no longer available at the Main Street Bakery, it is still available at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland.

Kathy….the cinnamon roll at Gaston’s is not the same as the one that use to be at MSB.
The cinnamon roll we use to get at MSB was to die for! What they were offering at Gaston’s was a smaller piece of dried out, stale-tasting bread with a little bit of sugar icing on top.
Hopefully they have “fixed” this by now. But I still want to have my roll on Main St. at the Bakery.

Starbucks does NOT belong in Disney World

I love Starbucks no matter where it’s at !!!! You know the old saying, “If you don’t like it, you don’t have to go there”. I don’t think Starbucks will interfere with any other restaurant or coffee house at WDW. I know the cinnamon buns are gone, but why not try something new, you may like it. I miss several of the rides that are now gone or different, but we still go to Disney at least twice a year…. it doesn’t keep up from going back…..
I just love me some Starbucks and Mickey Mouse in the same place!!!

Keep Starbucks out of disney. who has 20 buck for the mug items anyway. Don;t go down that road.Next you’ll have McD— in.That coffee is not even hot and people just walk around with a cup in their hand to look cool. I have never had a flavored starbuck I could not drink down in 2 min since it is not hot with all the additives!!
