Thanks for the info! We love free dining and always try to take advantage. I’m just curious why the first few weeks of December aren’t included. I’d love to see the Christmas decorations but we can only get away at the end or beginning of the month.

I made reservations with the Double Tree Suites in Downtown Disney. How can or who do I call about the free dining? We are arriving Nov. 8th and I believe it begins on the 10th. I would really appreciate your help…..this our 1st trip.
AJ says
Hi Eleanor — The free dining is only available to those staying in a Disney-owned and operated resort, so the Double Tree Suites would not qualify for the offer.
Eleanor says
Bummer, I thought it was since it says by Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort.

Eleanor- if I were you, I would try changing my hotel for the rest of your stay beginning on the 10th to a Disney resort. The moderate are comparable in price…and the free dining is a ton of savings in itself. You could try to change your full reservation to a disney hotel, but it is very unlikely that the 8th and 9th would be available since it is “Jersey week!” If this is your first visit, believe me … TRY TO GET A DISNEY HOTEL!! Our favorite moderate is the Caribbean Beach, Good luck!
Eleanor says
Bummer, I thought it was since it says by Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort. It says its a Downtown Disney Resort.
Eleanor says
My husband has a conference at the Hilton and this hotel is only .28 miles away…help with this is so muc appreciated.
Cinderdeb R says
Eleanor…did you get my comment?
Eleanor says
I did and thank you! There is not much available and the prices are more than double per night than what we are paying.
Amber says
Hi we are going to disney nov 15-20th how do you get this free dining plan! We are staying in a Disney hotel! Do you receive it when you check in?? Help please
Cinderdeb R says
Amber. You need to call Disney direct, and see if you could have the free dining added to your package. Depending on the hotel you are staying at, it may or may not be available. Good Luck! 1(407)939-5277

We booked a trip for the end of October a few weeks ago. I now see on here that free dining is available the dates we are going. (October 21-25). We called to have it added to our reservation, as we are staying in a Disney resort, and feel that we got the runaround and were told that since we didn’t sign up by September 15 we can’t get it. We were also given two different answers in two different phone calls. I see that someone else was commenting in October and were not told that it was unavailable, therefor I am quite concerned and really don’t want to be given the run around… I want to take advantage of this opportunity and I really feel that I am being ignored.
Cinderdeb R says
Deanna I checked on the offer I received for free dining, and the expiration was Sept 15. I don’t believe you are getting the run around. I called on August 1, the day the deal was released, and there were only 2 hotels left with free dining packages available. I had my hotel reservations there since May. There are only so many free dining packages per resort, and if the deal has an expiration….then they will not give it out after that. Don’t be frustrated! Enjoy your trip, and just remember for next time to plan early.

We come to Disney almost every year or every other year for many years. We normally stay at Pop Century this year we decided to stay at Art of Anmination in a room not a suite. We are traveling with daughter’s family. Since we are staying at this location we cannot use any of the Disney deals. So much for loyal Disney World travelers. I would like to know why certain resorts are not included is this a punishment since we decided to try one of the other resorts this year. This certainly is not the Disney from years past when they cared about the customers. Every year it cost so much more my daughter and I feel that pretty soon we will be priced out to come as often as we do. I guess now instead of caring about loyal customers being important it is the bottom line $$$

Usually Disney puts out free dining deals, and percentage off rooms because they do not have enough bookings, and need to fill up rooms. The blackout dates are during busy times, cause they don’t need to offer deals to fill the rooms. The same goes for the most popular resorts at the time of the sales. Art of Imagination standard rooms are always full. On the upside, our family stayed at the Art Of Imagination Resort last year, the standard room. It was the same size at the Moderate resorts, absolutely adorable rooms inside and out. The rooms felt really new. Nice TV..etc. The food court was also different than most moderate and value resorts. There were some unique choices..crab cake sandwiches, and tomatoe mozzarella panini type sandwich…and at the same price range as a burger. You will not be disappointed!

I booked a stay from 11/26 – 12/2 but Disney said this plan is not available to me. They
didn’t have any offers.
Who can I call about the free dining plan.
DFB Sarah says
Susan, you’ll want to talk to Disney directly again.
