We are looking forward to the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! Mark your calendars, as the festival kicks off on September 27 and will run through November 11.
And we know that you are just as anxious as we are to hit the ground at this year’s festival and try old favorites as well as new dishes!
Today, we’re offering a preview of two of the most popular Marketplace Booths — Canada and Ireland. While some cult classic dishes return, both locations are offering a few new things as well.
Canada Marketplace Booth
The Canada booth returns in 2013, and the classic Cheddar Cheese Soup remains on the menu, thank goodness!
Seriously, there would probably be demonstrations and boycotts if the soup didn’t make the cut!
2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Canada Booth Menu
- Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
- Seared Rainbow Trout with Bacon, Frisee and Maple Minus 8 Vinaigrette
- “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter Sauce
- Moosehead Lager
- La Face Neige Apple Ice Wine
- La Face Neige Sparkling
- Mission Hill Family Estate Syrah
But last year, the “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter Sauce joined the lineup. The dish — which just happens to be one of my all-time favorites — ended up being THE most popular festival dish of 2012!
While I’m a little sad that the amazing Chicken Chipotle Sausage isn’t returning, fans have a brand new dish to look forward to — the Seared Rainbow Trout with Bacon, Frisee and Maple Minus 8 Vinaigrette!
Will you be having a Moosehead Lager or La Face Neige Apple Ice Wine with your selections? The ice wine wins with me, hands down!
Ireland Marketplace Booth
Festival fans always clamor for the tasty dishes at the Ireland booth, which is usually situated in the UK Pavilion.
A handful of interesting beverages also return, including Guinness Draught, Bunratty Meade Honey Wine, and Chilled Irish Coffee featuring Bunratty Potcheen.
2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Ireland Booth Menu
- Lobster and Seafood Fisherman’s Pie
- Kerrygold Cheese Selection: Reserve Cheddar, Dubliner with Irish Stout, Skellig
- Warm Chocolate Pudding with Bailey’s® Custard
- Guinness Draught
- Bunratty Meade Honey Wine
- Chilled Irish Coffee featuring Bunratty Potcheen
The Lobster and Seafood Fisherman’s Pie always wins rave reviews! Served piping hot, the thick seafood filling features chunks of lobster meat and other seafood in a savory sauce. Topped with mashed potatoes, it’s delish! (And if you can’t wait until the festival to try it, check out our recipe and make some at home!)
I love the strong flavors of Kerrygold cheeses, so I’m looking forward to trying some selections that are brand new for 2013! The Dubliner with Irish Stout sounds particularly appealing!
Here’s a picture of last year’s selections, just to give you an idea about the presentation.
We are already hearing that guests are disappointed that the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Bailey’s Ganache from 2012 won’t be returning. (If you’re a big fan of that dish, don’t forget that we have a recipe for that one, too.)
But I’m really looking forward to trying a new dessert item, the Warm Chocolate Pudding with Bailey’s® Custard, and seeing if it measures up to the former favorite!

Omg, while I absolutely love seafood (like the ‘Lobster Fisherman’s Pie and the ‘Seared Trout’), my favorite meal at WDW is the ‘Filet Mignon’ with mushroom risotto and butter truffle sauce. My friends adore this meal, also. The warm chocolate pudding would be a choice dessert. Luckily I’ve never been to the F&WF; I’m afraid I’d gain 50 lbs….maybe someday.

I too LOVED the filet last year! I am looking forward to having it again this year. Do you know if there is a map released yet that shows where all the food booths will be around World Showcase? Thank you!

Oh, yum! These previews are definitely getting me excited for the festival. Canada and Ireland are two of my perennial favorites.
Amanda says
Do you know if that is all the Sam Adams beers that will be at the Hops & Barley booth? I am not seeing the Chocolate Bock from last year. 🙁
Alan says
I’ll take one of each, including the beers and wine. If the festival just had those two booths it would be enough for me.
CanadiansLoveWDW says
do they ever open up some of the booths before the festival. we will be there till the 22…
Summer says
I’m bummed too that the chipotle chicken sausage isn’t returning to the Canada booth…I don’t eat seafood so I’m not excited with the replacement either. Maybe I should make up for it by getting TWO of the filets 🙂 Only 36 days ’til touchdown!!!!

Does anyone know if the Lobster & Seafood Fisherman’s Pie is the same recipe as the Lobster & Scallop Fisherman’s pie? Did they change just the name?
