Last year, we shared the announcement that Epcot’s Fountain View Cafe in Walt Disney World would become a Starbucks location. This Future World location that was popular for ice cream treats joins the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom as a counter service retreat for coffee lovers.
Today, we have a FIRST LOOK of the new Fountain View Cafe doing business as a Starbucks!

Disney fans can opt for a Sugar Cookie with Mickey sprinkles. Both the sugar cookie and chocolate chip cookie sell for $2.39 OR a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.

does anyone know if the starbucks has the new “blonde roast” coffee?
Forget about Edys. Prior to that, we used to go to the Fountain View or the Main Street bakery for breakfast as soon as the park opened. Now that they’ve replaced the fruit, chocolate and cinnamon croissants at the Fountain View and the WDW breakfast items at the Main Street with definitely inferior prepackaged stuff, and no longer have seating at either place, I guess we’ll be eating breakfast at the hotel. Too bad!
This has nothing to do with Starbucks coffee, although WDW used to have excellent coffee in the early 1980’s. (That disappear sometime in the ’90s). It has everything to do with the relative quality of their food. And again, skip the ill-advised Edys period.
I agree with Glenn. We always waited breakfast to eat those yummy cinnamon rolls at Main Street. So sorry they are gone.
Do they sell any gluten free pastries or is it just like a regular Starbucks with nothing?
My family is really disappointed with this change. When we go to disney world we want something different. We can get Starbucks anywhere and honestly when we do it’s a special treat because we go for the sweet stuff. My husband drinks his coffee black and says their coffee is very bitter and strong. This is one place we won’t be visiting unfortunately.
Starbucks will be a welcome addition! The generic lattes formerly available were not great.
