We’re getting closer and closer to the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
I can’t wait to start hearing about booths going up, banners being hung, and set up of the Cranberry Bog finally taking place!
In just over a month, all the fun will get underway, and we’ll be Tasting Our Way Around the World with some brand new dishes.
If you’re looking forward to it as much as I am, then you’ll enjoy this preview today of two terrific World Showcase Marketplace Booths — Argentina and Germany.
Argentina
Argentina has been a very popular stop on the Marketplace Booth tour since its introduction in 1996. With an emphasis on beef and beautiful New World wines, it’s a food lover’s paradise!
2013 Argentina Marketplace Booth Menu
The attitude for Argentina’s menu seems to be “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!” We are happy to see some of the most flavorful and consistently delicious eats returning for another year here!
- Beef Empanada
- Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée
- Pascual Toso Sparkling Brut
- Terrazas Reserva Malbec
- Terrazas Reserva Torrontes
- Kaiken Cabernet Sauvignon
I am so excited that one of my absolute favorite festival dishes is back again — the Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée! Every component of this plate is fantastic, and I look forward to having it again this year!
The Beef Empanada was introduced in recent years, and also returns to the festival in 2013. Last year, it packed a little spicy punch, which I loved!
This is definitely one booth menu that you can make an entire meal from!
And be sure to check out the interesting wine selection here as well.
Germany
Festival goers LOVE them some Germany! Every year, you can count on long lines at this spot. In 2012, a Biergarten area was added between the Germany Marketplace and the Brewer’s Collection Booth.
The area provides a few tables, and is always a busy spot!
2013 Germany Marketplace Menu
Germany’s menu for 2013 continues to feature some tried and true favorites.
- Schinken Nudel (Pasta Gratin with Ham & Cheese)
- Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll
- Apple Strudel with Werther’s Original Karamel and Vanilla Sauce
- Altenmünster Oktoberfest
- BraufactuM Darkon
- J&H Selbach Bernkasteler Kurfürstlay Riesling Kabinett
- Selbach-Oster Mosel Riesling Spätlese
- J&H Selbach Bernkasteler Kurfürstlay Riesling Auslese
- Weingut Pitthan Dornfelder Dry Barrique Style
, a pasta gratin with ham and cheese, was added to the all star line up last year. We are so excited to see this delicious dish back in 2013! It’s like some of the best macaroni and cheese ever.
And there’s just no way you could have a Germany booth without a sausage or two! We’ll see Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll for 2013. This is one of my favorites, and I love the slightly smaller serving which leaves room for trying other things!
Another festival favorite is the Apple Strudel with Karamel-Vanilla Sauce. Featuring the rich, sweet flavors of Werther’s Karamel, it’s just as good as it looks.

I really enjoyed the Schinken Nudel last year and remember it being a HUGE portion! 40 days and counting until we’re checking into the BoardWalk, dropping everything and RUNNING to the festival 🙂
