It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Fall is upon us and Halloween treats have begun to pop up at the Disney Resorts.
The decorations are coming out and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us this Halloween season. Marceline’s in Downtown Disney is ready!
From what I’ve noticed amongst the people I know, you either love candy corn or you hate it. I don’t really know anyone that has an in-between feeling about it.
I’ve been eyeing these Gummi Candy Corn bags for the last few years. Because of their buttery smell — literally they smell like butter if you take a whiff of the package — I was a little bit scared to try them.
I do love Candy Corn though, so when a friend of mine suggested we try a bag, I decided it was finally time to give them a chance.
Annnnnnd, surprisingly they are pretty tasty. They taste very much like candy corn, vanilla with a hint of buttery goodness.
I was very concerned that they would taste like popcorn Jelly Belly jelly beans, which I think are gross; but nope, they are very close in taste to your traditional white, orange and yellow candy corn.
Each piece is quite large, so a small handful was good enough for me.
A bag of Gummi Candy Corn will set you back $4.95 and there’s plenty in a bag to go around.
Located all over the Disneyland Resort, I picked mine up at Pooh Corner in Disneyland. I’ve also seen them at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney. My guess though is that you can find them in most shops that carry Halloween merchandise, and you can find them all over Walt Disney World as well.
So let the Fall season begin at Disney parks! We’ll be back soon with even more yummy Halloween goodies!
Are you a candy corn lover or hater? Have you seen Gummi Candy Corn in the parks over the last few years? Have you given them a try? If not, do you plan to?

I like candy corn if it’s the good kind that has the nice butter flavor rather than just being too sugary sweet. That kind of candy is supposed to be a buttercream flavor, so I would def try the chewy version you’ve shown in your report. Unfortunately I won’t be hitting WDW for Halloween until next year, but planning and looking forward to it is half the fun (plus I need time to plan my costume!).

@Essie – Seems that this comes out every year, so start working on that costume and grab some in 2014! ; )

I normally HATE candy corn but Disneyland’s is amazing!!!! Not sure how I feel about gummy candy corn though. Disney World trip in t-minus 2 weeks! I am a new fan of this blog and I love it! Thanks!

I’ve never seen these before, but I love candy corn. I love gummi’s, and I can’t wait to try them. Happy Halloween.

Yeah, I tried those last Halloween and they were quite tasty. I was a little apprehensive but I love candy corn so I gave it a shot. They are my favorite gummi type too (the super soft kind with a sort of super-thin sugar crust) so I enjoyed them.

@Kelly L – Welcome to the Disney Food Blog! Glad you found us!
@Amy – It’s the perfect combo!
@Anastasia – I was so apprehensive. It took me two years to buy them! Was so pleasantly surprised.

Funny that I should read this post today, at this very moment. I just finished eating five of these tasty Gummi Candy Corns! They are just like Puffletes, which have are like a cross between gummies and marshmallows. I bought some last year and we were at Disneyland on Labor Day last week. They had all the Halloween merchandise out and I could not leave the park without buying a bag this year. We also bought a bag of Gummi Body Parts (my 6 year old daughter insisted).
Heather Sievers says
@Shea – I’ll have to check out the Gummi Body Parts!

I love candy corn, and I saw these in the park the day before I read this post! I noticed the buttery smell coming from the package, and was tempted to get them, but passed. I read this last night, and made a bee-line for them this morning (they had moved, but I found them).
Let me tell you, they are delicious! A bit marshmallowy, and definitely buttery, but really good! Thanks for the review! I think I’ll have to get these every time I see then there 🙂
Heather Sievers says
@Scottamus – Glad you liked them! They buttery smell totally scared me away at first too!

I love candy corn but tend to not buy the packaged snacks while in the parks unless they are gifts to take home.
Please, please, please keep the halloween/fall reviews coming. I will be in DL the weekend before Halloween and can’t wait to celebrate my favorite season and place…by stuffing my face 🙂
Heather Sievers says
@Angelina – I’m working on some today actually!!!
Angelina says
Yea!!!!!!!
