Remember when we wondered “will there be food trucks at Disney Springs?”
Well, now we’ve got answers! And there’s one new addition we’re particularly excited about!
With the announcement of the Downtown Disney renovation including the new name Disney Springs, we were sure hoping that food trucks would roll into the area! And guess what? The first food truck is expected to arrive later this Fall!
In fact, there will be themed food trucks!! Let’s take a closer look at what will be available…
Enchanted Fare Food Truck
Favorite dishes from worldwide Disney Parks will include: Croque Monsieur (Magic Kingdom/Be Our Guest Restaurant) and Glass Noodle Salad (Hong Kong Disneyland).
But the big news here? WE’RE GETTING THE DISNEYLAND HAND DIPPED CORN DOGS IN DISNEY WORLD!!!!
Will they be up to snuff?? Who knows. But I can’t wait to try ’em!
The World Showcase of Flavors Food Truck
Crowd favorites from the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be offered year-round. Look for tasty eats such as Grass-Fed Beef Sliders, Pierogies with Kielbasa, and Lobster Rolls.
Superstar Catering Food Truck
It’s all about meatballs at this food truck! These menu items will be Hollywood-worthy. We can’t wait to try the Lamb Meatball Flatbread with Tzatziki.
Namaste Café Food Truck
Featuring spicy dishes with Naan Bread (Yum!!), Namaste Cafe will serve several entrees including Butter Chicken (!!!!!!!!), Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs, and Tandori Spiced Shrimp. These dishes are inspired by eats from Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Stay tuned for more Food truck news. As more details roll in (including whether or not the trucks will accept the Disney Dining Plan), we’ll be sure to update our readers!
I can’t wait for those hand-dipped corn dogs and Butter Chicken and…! Which food truck will you order from first? Let us know in the comments below!

!!! So exited about the F&W Festival truck – I still haven’t managed to put together a trip around those dates and I’d love to try some of the foods.
Also, Indian food = awesome. Namaste = Indian food. Therefore Namaste = awesome. That’s the transitive property at work, people!
Rachel says
Omg these all sound amazing!! I’m be there in November and hopefully i’ll get to try it out!
Ann G says
Excited about the Disneyland corn dogs! Just a side note, there is not “e” at the end of pierogi.

I have to confess that I was initially a bit disappointed when I heard that the food trucks would be Disney-owned and would not represent Orlando’s awesome mobile food community. After thinking on it a little more, though, I respect that Disney’s desire to control every aspect of the guest experience is part of its brand (and is, in many cases, does help contribute to a high standard of service), so I guess I can’t blame them for re-creating the food truck experience themselves. I do hope that visitors with a little more time (and access to a car) will check out some of the diverse local trucks at the Orlando Food Truck Bazaar and other food truck gatherings around Central Florida. 🙂
With that said, I am excited to try everything on the Namaste menu (since I still haven’t made it out to Sanaa yet) and to experience the famed hand-dipped corn dog for the first time!

When I was at down town Disney a few weeks ago there was a taco truck set up after you cross the bridge into the west side… Also a pop up drink station.
Wendy says
Most excited about the hand-dipped corn dog I keep reading about on here and on Tom Bricker’s blog!
You mentioned the first one would be opening in the fall – any idea which one it will be? I’ll be down in December and would *love* to sample the corn dog!
Essie says
I can’t wait to try the lobster roll; that would be my fave pick. I just wish they had the Filet with Mushroom Risotto from Canada; that would be heavenly!
Cheryl Donofrio says
Sounds awesome! I can’t wait to see the new Disney Springs.

Giving me more reason to put Downtown Disney back on my list. We tend to skip it, but I think this could be a cool addition.

How fun and exciting!! This is precisely why I tell people I keep going back to Disney over and over and don’t get sick of it. I love how they are always “refreshing” everything and giving us stuff to talk and comment about. Cannot wait for my next trip. Always so bummed to miss Food and Wine Fest. My parents made it last year and I made them an entire list of “must tries” from this blog alone. Excited I will get to try at least a couple myself! Woohoo!

I’m looking forward to this change at DTD! It’s never been a place I’ve wanted to eat at but with these changes happening soon I can’t wait to try an assortment of this new food. I absolutely love the food at Sanaa and for that to be available at DTD is even better lol. Seems I can’t go to the food and wine festival being able to eat a selection of food available there is the next best thing!

Frontier Land Turkey Legs!!!
Dana says
Oh. My. God. I really hope some of these trucks will be there the end of September/early October when I’m there! Sanaa is one of my favorite restaurants, and I’m excited to see some of the food festival delights will be there!
heidi says
REAL corn dogs at last! I can’t wait!!
John says
This really is a great idea. We always do DTD once per trip and I never really want to get a whole sit down meal there. This has some really interesting possibilities, and would be the perfect meal option to pair with a night at the bar at Raglan Road (or Sosa’s) while the wife and kids are shopping.
Marion Durham says
I am so in love with Sanaa so this is the truck that excites me the most! Butter chicken and naan….insert triple arm pump here! Yes!
Beth says
My son is a vegetarian who LOVES Indian food so that’s the truck I was most excited about. Hopefully they’ll have at least one veggie dish like dal or paneer mahkani.
Amy says
CORN DOGS!!!!! Any idea when we can start seeing these trucks?
Emma says
Ok, I hate to be the voice of negativity/dissent, but food trucks run by disney on disney property is not what food trucks are about! Food trucks are a way for unique, local talent to create and serve awesome food. Disney can just as easily ensure quality by screening the trucks that sell there. Here’s hoping they open it up, at this point it’s just a publicity stunt to look hip/cool/with it.
Nicole says
I am THRILLED about this. Living in the DC area, I’ve been fortunate enough to have access to lots of great food trucks, and I really enjoy the experience. There was already a couple of trucks in DTD last time I was there in May (not any of these). They seemed popular, so I really think this is going to work out well. I’m most excited for the Namaste truck (Sanaa is one of my favorites) and of course the F&W truck (I LOVE pierogi). My husband is a meatball junkie, so I’m sure he’ll be a fan of the Superstar Catering truck. We spend a lot of our non-park time at DTD, and do occasionally have a full meal there, but most of the time we’re there late at night- the perfect time to indulge in some small dishes from one of these fantastic trucks!
Marc says
Emma,
I also appreciate the food-truck experience as it pertains to the authenticity of real, great fast food — and I don’t expect the Disney trucks to live up to the ‘real’ thing we see elsewhere.
That said, if you just take assume the food won’t be as great as you know it may be at another venue, you may enjoy the experience more. It’s not like people go to Disney for the food — do they?
That the food is even edible or even in some places delicious and healthy is a bonus for me when we go — but that’s my perspective.
Nerak says
oh mann! I am definitely going to have to bring elastic waist pants and perhaps buy three seats on the plane for the way home to fit into after my January trip. My bucket list of treats, entrees, and everything in between grows longer by the day
Christopher J says
I am SO excited for Saana’s offering to be available in DTD! I absolutely love Saana, had one of the most memorable and romantic meals there with my wonderful partner, made extra special by waiter Benny and the amazing food/atmosphere. Obviously I’ll go every trip but at least I can top up from the food truck!!
Justin says
I agree with Emma. I am very disappointed that these food trucks will feature little more than things you can find elsewhere on the Disney campus. Food trucks across this country serve to bring unique, creative, outstanding food offerings to their communities. Just in my little city (Columbia, SC), I’ve had the pleasure of trying unique items like brisket macaroni and cheese, raw fries with blue cheese, BBQ served from a school bus, and chicken wings stuffed with jambalaya, mac-and-cheese, stuffing (Thanksgiving-style), and more!
These food trucks serve to further homogenize the Disney food offerings–bringing to DTD foods from elsewhere on the campus.
N.G. says
I love the idea of food trucks and that one of the trucks features foods from many Disney locations around the world! However, I really hope there is enough vegetarian food available, and not just a few generic items that are just thrown in. I would love some really unique and tasty options. =)
Victoria says
I’m with you! Corn dogs and butter chicken all the way! Food trucks are all the rage, and I love the idea of them being featured at Disney too! Although usually trucks travel around, so it seems odd to think they will just remain parked all day in the same place? It almost defeats the purpose of being a food truck, no?
Alan says
Sounds fun. The only possible negative would be if it a lot of trucks hold down how many new restaurants open up in the ‘re-tooled Downtown Disney.
Dani says
I’m happy these are Disney run trucks! I want my yummy food truck bazaar and my crappy disney food to be separate!
Debbie says
My hubby loves corn dogs, we arrive 16th October hope they are there then!!

I happen to know the manufacturer of the 2 Mobile Catering Vans that have already arrived at WDW; 2 more are coming later this fall. The name of the company is Custom Sales and Service, Inc. They are a very seasoned leader in the manufacturing of specialized food catering units within the mobile food industry. They are located in Hammonton, NJ. and have created specialty kiosks for Disney over the years. They are also the leading manufacturer of Mobile Catering Trucks that service the production companies for most of the TV shows and the movie industry in NYC (Law & Order, Blue Blood etc.). Other notable clients that they create custom catering kitchens for are The Salvation Army and Red Cross. Disney, as you can well expect, only deals with premier companies. As a DVC member, our family is looking forward to seeing these new additions to DTD in our February 2014 annual family vacation at WDW. Enjoy the experience!

Deb says
If they’re bringing corn dogs from Disneyland, they also need to bring the Monte Cristo, Mickey beignets and Mint Juleps. Yum!
Lala says
Any word on the corn dogs at WDW?
