Boo to You!
Halloween time is officially upon us! And during my recent visit to Walt Disney World, I had a blast checking out all of the awesome Halloween-themed treats.
Whether you prefer cute and sweet or spooky and sinister, you’ll find just the right sweet for Trick or Treat!
There’s nothing better than a colossal caramel or candy apple! My favorite, hands down, is this ghoulish Poison Candy Apple, inspired by the film Snow White. It’s fantastic, isn’t it?! As far as I can tell, it’s a standard candied apple covered in green-tinted white chocolate!
Prefer your spooky with a side of caramel? Then this Skull Chocolate Covered Caramel Apple is for you! With both white and milk chocolate, it’s wicked delish!
You don’t have to look far to find apple treats that are inspired by Mickey himself. The Jack-o-Lantern Mickey Caramel Apple is covered with bright orange sugar that makes it all sparkly.
And don’t you love the pool of white chocolate that makes up Ghost Mickey’s trailing “hemline”? Really, white chocolate specters are the tastiest, don’t you think?
Pure, sweetness is also on tap with these Mickey and Minnie-inspired chocolate models.
I spotted this one, which seems to be a DARK chocolate version!!, in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Love chocolate covered strawberries? Check these out — I’ve never seen them before!
I like how the ghosty one looks a bit like Munch’s The Scream. How’s that for bringing a little culture to your SpookFest? 🙂 And the other model, done up in stripes of pretty sanding sugar, are super fun. I think these make an awesome alternative to candy corn!
Are cake pops your thing? These white chocolate Mickey Ghost versions have a lovely crosshatch design and little candies for eyes. Another new addition to the Halloween treats line-up at Disney.
The Mickey Jack-o-Lantern motif is a popular one, as it pops up (BOO!) here, too.
Finally, for all you popcorn bucket collectors, the 2013 Halloween edition features your favorite characters dressed up in fun costumes.
We spied many of these treats primarily in Sweet Spells, but you should be able to find them at most candy counters throughout the Parks.
Which of these treats to you most want to celebrate Halloween 2013? One or all? Leave a comment and let me know your favorites!

Disney never fails to amaze me, but I’m loving the poison apples and sprinkle dipped Mickey apple

I think they’re all really cute, but my favorite treat would have to be a caramel apple with milk chocolate, probably the cute Mickey or Minnie. That said, the red and green poison apples are really cool!

BTW, those little Halloween strawberries are great! That’s a lot of work on such a little piece of fruit.

The apples can be found at the Confectionary at Hollywood Studios (on Sunset – beginning of the street to get to the Tower of Terror and the Rock’n’Rollercoaster)
