As we announced earlier, Downtown Disney Orlando will soon debut mobile eateries as the popular Walt Disney World district joins the Food Truck craze!
But now we have a DATE RANGE (yes, this is how it works) to look forward to! In early November, Disney will welcome four new food trucks to Downtown Disney’s West Side (near Cirque de Soleil and House of Blues).
Let’s get to the food…
Superstar Catering truck
“Favorite of the Stars of Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” this truck will feature hearty meatball variations: a spinach and feta beef meatball sandwich; turkey sausage and golden raisin meatballs on polenta; and a lamb meatball flatbread with tzatziki. For the kids (or kids at heart!) — meatball sliders!
With a stainless steel exterior accented in teal, tan and orange, this truck will be reminiscent of a 1930s Art Deco diner.
Namaste Café truck
“Tasty Explorations from Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” is the theme at this colorful truck! Designed with an Asian influence, guests will enjoy Sanaa-inspired food. We can’t wait to sample the BUTTER CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!, slow-cooked beef short ribs, and tandoori spiced shrimp. All dishes will be served with basmati rice, naan, and pickled veggies.
Fantasy Fare truck
This bright red eatery will have a down-home look and boasts “Delightful Dishes from Disney’s Magic Kingdoms Around the World.” And yes, this is the place that will dish out the legendary hand-dipped Disneyland corn dogs!!
In addition, a Croque Monsieur with housemade chips from Magic Kingdom’s Be Our Guest Restaurant, and glass noodle salad with chicken and pickled veggies from Hong Kong Disneyland, will further tempt appetites.
World Showcase of Flavors truck
Stop for year-round festival favorites at this truck showcasing “The Best of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.” The menu includes lobster rolls, pierogies and kielbasa, and grass-fed beef sliders.
Look for a green truck decorated with vintage travel stickers!
Expect to pay $8.99 – $16.99 for these creative and tasty eats! Guest utilizing the Disney Dining Plan can also pay with one quick service credit.

I wonder what the Downtown Disney eateries are thinking of these trucks that can take away a lot of their clients.
Cheryl Donofrio says
If they’re still there in January I’ll definately come check them out.

Just in time for my Thanksgiving trip and we had one night that we did not know what we were doing for dinner.

BLAH! There are a TON of great food trucks in Orlando…these are not food trucks…these are Disney counter service restaurants, with Disney CM’s, in the guise of a food truck…
Essie says
Lobster roll looks good to me.

Fantasy Fare truck looks to be a neat option! Can’t wait to try the corndogs I’ve read so much about! I think this is going to be an awesome change. Plenty of patrons to go around for all the eateries to share – and a little more variety never hurt anyone. This is a great option for someone like me and my husband. I like more adventurous food and he goes for simple, bland and boring hold all the extras and sauce. I hate paying for a sit-down counter service type meal and having to pay astronomical prices for a burger I don’t care for or just-okay pizza to keep him happy. Now we can get the best of both worlds. He goes to his truck, I go to mine and we meet at that bench over there and continue walking and enjoying Downtown. Plus no tips for waiters or making a reservation. Pretty cool!

If those corn dogs aren’t Disneyland corn dogs I will pitch a FIT!!!

These options all look delicious! Do we know where in DTD they’ll be located? I’m assuming West Side..

Exactly. Just because you put a counter service on wheels does not make it a food truck. These are food trucks like Herbie’s at DHS is a “food truck”.

$9-$16? That’s Disney pricing, not food truck pricing.

It seems the trucks will be near Cirque du Soleil.

Any news as to whether there’ll be vegetarian options?
Samantha says
Devin– I was thinking the same thing… no veggie options would be a terrible shame. At least a couple of the cuisines features make incredibly satisfying vegetarian options!
Jasmine Becket-Griffith says
@Devin & @Samantha –
I’m very curious as well! When I’ve visited India almost 90% of the street food I saw was vegetarian. Hope me & my family won’t have to miss out on trying the food trucks =(
Vicki says
I went to Downtown Disney a week ago and saw the food trucks. I went today looking for Namaste and they were gone, I asked a random CM walking by and he said they were just for the Holidays so I didn’t get my butter chicken and was very disappointed. Why are they gone already?
Wendy says
The Chicken and Waffles at the Superstar truck were absolutely fantastic. We had them in July while we were there. Have to try them!
