It’s freezing…well, just about everywhere. AND, it’s National Soup Month! So I thought it was time to add some brand new bowls of comfort to our Disney Food Pics of the Week Series.
It’s always so fun to flip through the fantastic photos that our members post on the Disney Food Blog Photo Extravaganza, our Flickr group. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, head over there! It’s great for a virtual trip to Disney, or even some fun inspiration for planning your next trip — or your next meal!
Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier
Ah, we couldn’t kick off a soup post without sharing a photo of one of your favorites and mine — Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier! It’s such a luxury to have a whole bowl of it! But it’s also nice to get a taste at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival each Fall. Only ten months to go! Woo!!

French Onion Soup from Les Chefs de France
There is nothing better than digging into a delicious, satisfying bowl of French Onion Soup. With a thick layer of broiled, melted gruyere over top a crouton on French bread — it’s enough to send me straight into crave mode! And few places do this classic dish as well as Les Chefs de France in Epcot’s France Pavilion.

Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl from Pacific Wharf
Argh — this is GORGEOUS! Nearly every time I visit Disneyland, I make it a point to head over to Pacific Wharf Cafe in Disney California Adventure.
Once I’m there, in addition to their killer Cinnamon Rolls, I have to have bowl of soup — served in one of those incredible Sourdough Bread Bowls made by the famous Boudin Bakery!

I could eat some of that French Onion or Clam Chowder right now! On my next trip (unfortunately a ways off), I’m going to remember to take lots of foodie photos; I enjoy photography anyway. It would be fun to share some photos with everyone.

The cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier IS delicious! Another favorite is the Lobster Bisque at Chefs de France.
Tonia in FL says
Love the Chedder Cheese soup at Le Cellier. We were there last Saturday and it was awesome as always. I think it usually tastes a little better at the FWF but always awesome!

The bread bowl sure got my attention! Is there anywhere in Disney World that has them?
Dorothy says
One of the best foods-Butternut squash soup that’s available at both Boma and Mara. The chef’s say it’s from the same pot at both places, but I’ve found it tastes better at Mara. No doubt the fact that it’s cheaper at Mara is a large part of the reason!

T Williams — Not yet! They’re all over Disneyland since they have the bowl bakery on site!!
Lala says
So LCdF doesn’t bake the puff pastry on top of the French Onion soup anymore? I used to really love that.

T Williams- Columbia Harbour House used to have clam chowder in bread bowls- but we’re talking years ago. I miss them so!
