We were so excited to bring you word that Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival this Spring will once again offer Food Kiosks in 2014. And today, we have more news about some of the things you can expect to see this year!
New for the 21st Annual Festival, the kiosks have officially been given the name Outdoor Kitchens. This distinguishes them from their Food and Wine Festival cousins, the Marketplace Booths, which tend to be themed mostly to countries. (If you want to see last year’s Festival Eats, check out our full review!)
In all, expect to see 11 Outdoor Kitchens at this year’s festival, which are sure to pair delicious foods with a full array of beverages once more.
Some popular items are expected to return, but chefs promise that there will be plenty of new dishes to pique our interest as well.
NEW Urban Farm Eats Outdoor Kitchen Debuts at the 2014 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
This year, guests who attend the festival will be treated to a brand new Outdoor Kitchen featuring a hot new growing trend. The Urban Farm Eats Kitchen will feature sustainably farmed food, such as tilapia and eggplant. Dishes will include Land-Grown Eggplant “Scallop” with Romesco Sauce as well as Ghost Pepper-Dusted Tilapia served with Winter Melon Salad and Mango Chutney. To round out the menu, you can enjoy Vegan Wines in both Red and White Varieties, as well as Gluten-Free Beer.
How awesome is it that we’ll be enjoying foods grown right in The Land Attraction?!
Delicious New Dishes at Smokehouse BBQ
Some of the most highly anticipated treats will be featured at the popular Smokehouse BBQ Outdoor Kitchen.
Brisket and Pulled Pork were big hits last year. But we’re hearing this year will feature brand new selections, like Smoked Turkey Ribs. And I’ll be in line on Day One for a taste of the Piggylicious Bacon Cupcakes(!!!!!!).
We can’t wait to bring you news of all the delicious selections that will be featured during the 2014 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for all the details!

It’ll be my first year at the festival with the food booths (we went in 2011 and 2012 and didn’t do 2013, unfortunately) so I’m pretty excited! 🙂 Will you do a guide for it, like you do for the Food&Wine Festival? I would buy that in a heart beat! 😀

I hope you all have a FANTASTIC time! I thought this was an incredible enhancement to the Flower and Garden Festival last year, and I can’t wait to see this year’s offerings!

Looking forward to this as we will not be making food and wine again.

Asking this in all sincerity: do you see Disney moving towards a trend of making food+alcohol booths a staple in all their festivals, since I imagine that the Food and Wine Festival is such a big profit-center for them? I know lots people love F&W, but the one time that we experienced it, our family vowed to never return during F&W. Maybe we hit a bad weekend, but we were completely overrun with visibly intoxicated folks- one person even staggered into my daughter’s stroller (while we were standing still) and nearly fell on her. I didn’t expect it to be a church meeting or anything, knowing it was Food and Wine, but I did still expect it to be *Disney*, the place dedicated to being family-friendly.
I really am hoping that the atmosphere of F&W will STAY at F&W, and not trickle into these other Festivals, since that will eliminate a lot of visits to our favorite place on earth! But I would love to know your thoughts.

We always attend F&G but couldn’t make it last year, so we are very excited too to go back this spring. I agree with Dawn, the alcohol is there for whoever wants to buy/drink but since we are taking about Disney parks its never a pleasant thing to see. We saw it happing before people being carried out of Epcot because they couldn’t even walk by then selves.

Read Dawn’s post and completely agree with her comments about the excessive amounts of drinking at F&W. We were at Epcot in 2011 and it was like being at a huge college campus party. Young adults, I’m assuming college aged kids, were literally lined up at the booze lines with one in each fist just waiting to get to the front of the line to load up again. We were physically pushed from Canada through Mexico by intoxicated kids and beer spilled all over us by the time we finished the circle. Who needs to drink? We could have gotten intoxicated just breathing the fumes from what was spilled on us. Walt would not be happy. This is not what Disney is supposed to be about. I’m fine with being able to buy a drink or two with a meal or to just sit and take it all in, but if drinking to this extreme is going to be allowed, at the very least, have some security to put a stop to that kind of behavior. Have some consideration for the rest of us. Perhaps finding a way to limit the amount of drinks one can purchase would be helpful. All I know is we left Epcot as soon as we could find our way to the gate and headed to the Magic Kingdom. It’s a shame that people that paid their way to visit Epcot for all it stands for are chased away by the behavior of college kids who can do their drinking elsewhere.
