This week, we shared with you lots of fun news — from a new refillable mug design at the Disney World Resorts to supersized slushies in Epcot’s France to the face that we get another WHOLE WEEK to enjoy the Epcot Food and Wine Festival this year. But there’s a whole lot more going on in Disney World that we still need to tell you about!
We’re happy to welcome you on another trip around the World with us to see what’s new!
Epcot
We spied all sorts of happenings around World Showcase! Things are already changing up a bit at Spice Road Table, with a few small changes to the menu.
The Salted Cod Croquettes are still available as part of the Mogador Sampler; however, they’ve been replaced on the individual tapas menu by Mix Grill Skewers: “Beef and Chicken with Garlic and Fresh Herbs.”
Italy’s Tutto Gusto is featuring a few new “Gusto Specialties”: Meatballs Parmigiana, Meatball Sliders, Ravioli di Ricotta, and Tuscan Pork Ribs.
Over in Germany, you can now pick up some official Werther’s Drizzle to take home with you at Karamell-Küche!
Now you can make your very own cookies look like this 🙂 :
And have you heard the news in France? Les Halles is serving Beignets to celebrate Mardi Gras (for a limited time only)!
The Promenade Refreshments menu has kept its Meatball Sub, but cookies and glazed nuts have been replaced with hot dogs and soft-serve ice cream.
But stay tuned… things may change at Promenade Refreshments again soon, because we’re seeing these happy signs cropping up all over Epcot!
Let this be a hopeful reminder that spring is, indeed, on the way – the Flower & Garden Festival is nearly upon us. And we can’t wait to check out this year’s Outdoor Kitchens! See the full menus for this year’s Flower and Garden Festival here!
Now, I can never resist stopping by Mouse Gears when I’m in Future World. I enjoy checking out all the merchandise (especially kitchenware!), and these new Park Icon mugs definitely caught my eye.
But I gotta say… this one threw me. Under the file of, “Ummm… Huh? Whaaa..? Oooookay…” are these Poison Candy Apple EARS.
Yep – here’s the original.
Animal Kingdom Lodge
And here’s one outside of the Parks. The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge has had a few menus changes as well. Oak-Smoked Rotisserie Chicken, a Hand-Carved Corn Beef Sandwich, and the Mara BLT Hot Dog have replaced the Caesar Salad with Chicken, Hand-Carved Turkey Sandwich, and the African Chili-Cheese Hot Dog.
But as much as I love the food, my current favorite thing at Animal Kingdom Lodge is seeing what the baby zebras and their parents are up to at Kidani Village!
That’s it for this round! Until next time, Eat and Be Happy!
Have you spotted anything new during a recent trip around the World? We’d love to hear about it in a comment!

The “candy apple ears” were actually released in September 2013 for the “Unleash the Villians” event. There were part of the limited time magic promotion. There were a few different ones representing Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Malificent from Sleeping Beauty and the poison apple was, of course, The Hag from Snow White (these ones glow in the dark too).

Don’t forget the Queen of Hearts ears from Alice in Wonderland to round out the villain ears. And yes, I do have a set. Ears make me happy 8:-)
I might need to wear my evil queen set and search out one of those candy apples this Sunday!

They had baby Giraffes there at the end of December. They are amazing. They chase each other and it looks like they are running in slow motion.

I love when you show new merch.! It helps to plan shopping for future visits. Normally, I’m not a mug gal, I have too many already. But those are really awesome. Keep it comin’!

I’ve GOT to get me a set o’ those mugs. I’m assuming there was a Hollywood Studios one as well?

Loving the Castle icon cup!
Question: So we have the castle for MK, Spaceship Earth for Epcot, and I’m guessing the bottom one is supposed to be like the Tree of Life from AK.
Was there a cup for DHS? If so, could you describe it?
Thanks!

Ha ha ha, those beignets look like lips. And that sugar looks like granulated instead of powdered. I love the beignets at Port Orleans.
Awwww, baby zebras! I am long overdue for a Disney trip.
