Of course, as Disney food fans, I suppose we’ve all grown rather accustomed to the fact that many of our favorite foods come with EARS.

So, while it was not altogether surprising, it was still fun to spot THESE ears popping up once again in the current specialty cupcake!

The White Chocolate Raspberry cupcake – a return from previous years – can be found at several Hollywood Studios Quick Service locations, including Toy Story Pizza Planet, ABC Commissary, Studio Catering Co., and Starring Rolls Cafe. Just look for this sign:

This cupcake is all things spring and Easter from the flavors, to the colors, to the bunny’s signature feature…

Let’s take it from the ears! The white chocolate is present in two ways; first, in the bunny ear topper.

And second, in the amount of white chocolate shavings all over the frosting. These shavings are wonderfully thick, and generous enough to lend white chocolate flavor to each bite.

The raspberry is found completely in what we’ve come to expect from every specialty cupcake at Hollywood Studios: the enormous pile of frosting.

A little something I’ve noticed about Disney World frostings recently (starting with the Queen of Hearts Strawberry Shortcake Cake Cup at Magic Kingdom’s Cheshire Café): the fruit-flavored frostings appear to be made with something of a puree, if I’m deducing correctly from the tiny bits of red color spotted throughout. This seems to lend a more genuine fruit flavor in the frosting, which is really nice. The flavor of the raspberry in this frosting was mild, but still very much present.

The base is a simple yellow cake – no surprise filling inside this one. What you see is what you get!

Since the toppings were so sweet, this worked well and kept it all from feeling like too much sugar.

This verdict on this one is pretty cut and dried: if you enjoy the combo of raspberry and white chocolate, this one’s for you! And the super high cute-factor of those ears doesn’t hurt, either. So, “hop” to it! (Yep. Had to 😉 .)
