Shauna says
Super bummed. We are arriving on 08/23/14. Was really hoping for free dining. What do you think the chances of getting a FD code emailed to me?
Shauna says
Sorry I meant 08/26/14 we are arriving.
Connie says
Any clue why Port Orleans French Quarter is not included in the free dining deal?
Emma says
So wait people can get it May 7th? What about May 8th? Do you just ask the resort?
Jon says
Being a UK resident we get a different offer, currently for 2015 with very few blackout dates compared to the USA offer BUT I need to stay at Moderate for Quick Service or Deluxe (or Villa) for Regular dining. I would much rather get the regular dining plan included in a moderate resort!
Bonnie says
Why are certain resorts exempt?
Donna says
I’m on hold and have been for almost an hour! Can’t get through!
laurie connolly says
free food? Why do visa members get first crack at it?. I have been on hold over 45 minutes to book it. If you put in a sale you should higher more people to answer the phones.
Chris says
Jon, call Disney. In most cases you can pay the difference and upgrade your dining plan.
Kelly Babcock says
I wish Disney would come up with a discounted dinning plan for pass holders. We can never take advantage of these deals bc we have passes already. However, we stay at the resorts many times a year. I think it would be a great pass holder perk and a fair one since pass holders stay and play at the parks often.
Erin says
Bummed about POR – guess we’ll have to rebook elsewhere for our Christmas trip.
Caron says
Does this work for annual passholders, too?
Chrissy says
We had booked this trip 3 months back really hoping that the meal plan would be available the dates we are going, since for the last 10 years or so its been the same dates. This is the first time my children and niece will be visiting, and not only will it be my daughters birthday but also my anniversary. We have both my family as well as my husbands family coming out for the festivities and we have a total of 13 people traveling with the possibility of 3 more last minute. Is there any other deal that can be offered? Thanks in advance, Chrissy
Donna says
Shauna, How long are you staying? Maybe you can do a split stay, you will have to have a separate reservation to check in on 8-31 but at least you will get free dining for the remainder of your stay.
Brenda Gremillion says
Hi Is free dining available for DVC members as I am booked to arrive at the end of sept thru beginning if oct? Thanks
Vicki says
WHY IS THIS NEVER AVAIABLE TO PASSHOLDERS?!?!!?!
Mmbl says
They really don’t care about AP holders, do they?
Holly says
Our family LOVES the free dining! This is the first year we will not be doing it :(. However we are going on our first Disney cruise this year instead! So it is bitter sweet. Hopeful this means free dining will also be offered next year!! For those of you who haven’t done it before book now!! You won’t regret it!
Ana Gorga says
What about from May 4 to 17th?
linda says
Why just for those months. we arrive 8/19/14!!!! Disappointed!
Melissa says
I think it’s crap that there are hotels and rooms excluded from this offer. Talk about discriminating.
Beth says
Dang it anyway…going on December 1st. I’m tempted to change my travel dates, but now that I think about it, we’ll probably have smaller crowds to deal with than during the Free Dining promotion times. AJ, do you find the parks busier then?
Donna says
I finally got through – called another number (think it was the fastpass number), was on hold for only 20 minutes on that one. She couldn’t modify resort reservations but transferred me through. She said their current hold time looked like 2 HOURS!! (even she was shocked!!) My call was answered in about 3 minutes after being transferred and was able to add free dining to existing reservation! The other phone I called from was still on hold by the time I finished my call with them on the other line. Looks like the 2-hour think might be accurate this morning – UGH!
debbie o'brien says
Do you ever offer anything to your valued DVC members. Does not seem like we get anything for being members. Have been a DVC member for 20 years and when I first bought into DVC we got some perks for being members, all of which were taken away. Very disappointed in my last visit to disney on 4/23-29. From your new system pf fast pass, to how you treata disabled person to the treatment we received from cast memebers. Seriously thinking of selling and would not recommend anyone buying into DVC anymore.
Alison says
Still on hold….. Any idea why Grand Floridian Villas are exempt?
Deana says
What about vacation club members who are also visa cardholders?
Nicole says
When would they announce free dining for 2015? We may be headed to Disney for Nationals in February 🙂
Dana says
Why not the French Quarter? It should at least be available for Disney Visa cardholders, as a perk!
Donna says
wondering why Riverside isn’t included this year either – we got free dining there last year for September.
joe says
I still haven’t received the offer. Its the only reason I got the card.
Dana says
They do not offer free dining at resorts that book up without the help of free dining. Port Orleans French Quarter is not included ever and this is the first time Port Orleans Riverside has been excluded. We are hoping for a PIN code too.
Carolina says
Donna, how did you modify your reservation? I called Disney Visa to get the code and they said that there is no code. They said that if I already have a trip booked with WDW, then WDW will be sending me an email directly about modifying my reservation. Weird.
Deana Mullaney says
completely agree with Donna! I have been a DVC Member for over 10 yrs and I’m really questioning WHY…the last trip in November was horrific – the new FP program is terrible, the customer service when trying to plan in advance was horrific, the treatment of people with disabilities is sad…we never get any perks like free dining or discounted park passes. After the experience of my last trip I was considering selling my 2 dvc interests….Annual Passholders get better benefits than DVC Members but still not as many as the general public!
Eric says
Does this include Swan & Dolphin?
Tanya says
I am staying for 7 nights at the Saratoga Springs and 8 nights at the Animal Kingdom villas from June 28th, 2014 until July 13th, 2014. All the money I have and will be spending during that time, the least Disney should do for me is give me a free dinning plan. At least one of the weeks!!!
AJ says
Eric — No. Those are not Disney owned resorts.
Ryan says
French Quarter was included last year because that is where we stayed with Free Dining.
April Driggers says
We’ve already booked our vacation…. and arrive October 8. 🙁 No free dining for us either. 🙁 BOO!
Brenda says
Dana……Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside have always been included in the free dining plan. We were at Riverside 3 years ago and French Quarter last year and always go during early September when the free dining plan is always offered and I can guarantee you we had free dining during both those visits.
Aniela says
I agree about Port Orleans… Totally canceling and just renting a condo
Lynette says
What # should I call to book? I have Disney Visa so can book today but no mention of free dining on Visa site.
Keith says
It’s comical to hear people complain about getting something for FREE. Free dining people. They don’t have to offer it. Not at you favorite resort?? Try staying somewhere new. Have to wait on hold?? The nerve of Disney – hmmm, I book through the website. VC and AP don’t qualify?? You get your discount through your programs. Not offered for your dates?? Switch. Love entitled people. Complaining about something FREE.
Bridget says
This offer is only available to those Chase cardmembers who have already booked for the Fall! The entire deal goes public next week on the 7th!
Elle says
I’m a Disney Visa holder and I’ll be traveling to Disney with my cousin 9/8-9/12. We’re staying at the Wilderness Lodge and originally had a package that included the Memory Maker for free. I just got us the “free dining plan” and now we don’t have the memory maker and the package is $300 more expensive. We do have reservations all 4 nights at Biergarten, Ohana, Whispering Canyons, and Mama Melrose’s.
Do you guys think it’s worth getting the dining package instead of the Memory Maker package for $300 less?
Sarah says
Man, double whammy for me. We’re arriving October 18- right between the dates offered. We’re also staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. I’d love to have free dining, but I can’t rearrange my entire vacation for it. Guess I’ll add myself to those wishing for a PIN code and hoping it will be less busy due to the lack of offers.
Dave Ehrhardt says
So I am booked at the Contemporary resort for sept 21 -27. How do I get this deal? I have a Disney visa
Sharon says
Wow. So much complaining on here. It’s not like Disney owes you anything! It’s a way for them to fill rooms during slow times. Geez!
Tracy Kulak says
Where does one acquire this offer?
DK says
So with the excluded hotels, yet again….Disney vacations are made for families of 4 or less. All of the excluded resorts are the only ones I can bring my family of 5. Disappointing.
Andrew Z says
Sorry DFB readers, but I 100% agree with Keith.
For Disney to even offer a program like this is extremely generous on their part. And don’t start whining about “how expensive” Disney is otherwise. Disney a luxury privilege, not a right. Don’t like it?….don’t buy into it.
Take what you can get and stop being greedy.
