In keeping with their Gourmet Apple Series, the candy makers at the resort have dreamed up a brand new, ice cream-inspired confection — the Banana Split Gourmet Caramel Apple!

But how do you get a caramel apple to taste like banana split? Disney magic, of course! 😉
Seriously, though — the Mammoth Apples are first dipped in Caramel. After that, they’re coated with Banana-Infused Chocolate and rolled in Chocolate Chips. THEN, they receive a drizzle of Dark Chocolate. And that’s just the beginning! Because what’s a banana split without lots of toppings? Vanilla White Chocolate creates the perfect spot for a sprinkle of Chopped Peanuts before the whole thing is topped with Maraschino Cherries.
If this sounds like Caramel Apple Heaven to you, get it while it lasts — it’s only available for the month of June! You’ll find it at Candy Palace within Disneyland Park, Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney District, and at Disney California Adventure’s Trolley Treats.

I’m not a banana fan but i’d try a bite…this is why I always want to go to Disneyland with a large and varied group, then I get to try more and more food!! 🙂
I like bananas and I wouldn’t mind trying this new apple, but I’m not sure that it would be my favorite. Still, it sounds very interesting.
I tried it! The banana chocolate layer was awesome with the under layer of caramel. The only thing I could do without was the added chocolate chips on the bottom. Other than that it was very filling and tasted awesome:)
