Honestly, I thought “Fomz” was just a cute name since this drink is found in Tomorrowland, and there is something kind of retro-future-y about it. You can easily imagine Sonny Eclipse starting his day with a sip of some iridescent alien beverage topped with a heaping helping of “FOMZ.”

As it turns out, “Fomz” is actually the brand of fruit-flavored foam used to top this bright red beverage.

Not familiar with the foam-topped beverage craze? From Lemonade topped with Wild Berry Foam found at Sunshine Tree Terrace, to LeFou’s Brew at Gaston’s Tavern, these foamy drinks are not too hard to find.

So, the foam-topped beverage trend continues with the Cherry Slush, and I must say, I enjoyed the result much more than I typically do.
Lemon Lime Fomz
On its own, the cherry slush was sweet without being too terribly syrupy — it tasted like a thick icee; and the lemon-lime Fomz delivered just a hint of tart flavor. I prefer this slush to the past year’s Orange Slush, which was too strong for my taste. I found this one to be more refreshing.
And it doesn’t hurt than I can easily picture Sonny polishing off a cup of this, too 😉 .

I’m in. I generally hate the food at the Magic Kingdom, but Cosmic Ray’s is my one annual “nostalgia” lunch spot … and I love cherry slushes !
I had one yesterday, and I LOVED it. It was so refreshing. Got a brain freeze though, so be careful!

I’d try it. I think having a flavored foam on the top of drinks is a fun idea.
$4.49 plus tax for a glorified snow cone? I am sure it’s tasty, but how about a reasonable price. 🙂

Can you get any of these without the foam stuff on top? I surely didn’t like the foamy stuff on top of the LeFou’s Brew (not that I cared for it either). But I’m kind of a purist when I get my food and beverages.
