Christmas is in full swing at the Disneyland Resort and I’ve got a new popcorn bucket to prove it!!!! I recently spotted this Mickey Elf Premium Popcorn Bucket and had to add it to my collection.
I normally don’t buy Premium Popcorn Buckets, but during the holidays, I’m basically a sucker. I use them for decor. This is my third year getting the Holiday Mickey. I also have the Mickey Snowman & Mickey Santa.
Premium Mickey Elf Popcorn Buckets can be found and most Popcorn Carts throughout the resort and are $12.50 filled with regular popcorn or $14.00 if you want caramel corn (caramel corn is only available at some popcorn stands).
I will say this… unless we just happened to get a bad one, the head latch is pretty pointless. It really doesn’t work, at all. It’s fine for the decor purpose of sitting on a shelf, but for a functioning case that you’d like to hold and carry something? Forget it.
My boys devoured the popcorn, but if you are planning on carrying it around the park for very long, be ready to spill. Just eat Mickey’s popcorn brains quickly and you’ll be fine.
These are VERY similar to the Mickey Stein found at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and you can find the full Mickey buckets in Disney World, too!
It’s a little hard to see all of Mickey in that first photo, so I added another. This time taken a bit from above so you can see the adorable hat Mickey’s wearing.
Do you usually splurge on Premium Popcorn Buckets? Have you seen Mickey Elf at any popcorn carts yet? What are your thoughts on this year’s design? I love it! Let us know in the comments below.

He’s pretty cute. Im in. I’m bummed that I didn’t bother buying the Santa Mickey bucket last year. My favorite one is still the Mickey Snowman bucket from a few years ago.
Heather Sievers says
@Christian – I LOVE that snowman one too! After returning from Tokyo though, I can say that the popcorn buckets there are next level! Post coming soon to DFB.
Essie says
I think it’s really cute, also. I think I’d rather that the green being more of a Christmas green rather than lime green, but I’d give him a home in a nano second. I’m anxious to get to WDW for Christmas again, but I think another Halloween trip may be next (possibly, maybe Christmas will be next – It’s a big decision!).
Claire says
Yeah, I broke down and bought the Santa Mickey last year, also for use as a decoration. I bought the Mickey stein version of this one a couple of weeks ago at WDW. Now my 8 year old runs around chasing her sister with his head open shouting “Brains! Brains!!” (lol)
Heather Sievers says
@Essie – It’s hard to choose between Christmas and Halloween! But I think Halloween time is my favorite at Disney!!!!
@Claire – My kids did the same thing with the popcorn bucket! Mickey Brains!!!!
Cyndi D says
We are here at DLR and it seems all of the buckets are sold out! Can this be true?!?
Cyndi D says
We are told they’re all sold out at DLR and DCA. Sad doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel! Is there any other way to find one?
Heather Sievers says
@Cyndi D – I was there yesterday and didn’t see any at the popcorn stands! I only saw Dumbo & Lightning McQueen ones.
Marc Schreiber says
I’m looking at R2D2 right now and got Dumbo last year and gave it to my niece who is a fan of anything elephant.
Heather Sievers says
@Marc – I’ve seen the R2D2 & Dumbo too. They’re super cute. I think the Mickey Elf is still sold out everywhere.
