We have more exciting news for you today about upcoming Fall events in Walt Disney World!
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has announced the dates for their 6th Annual Food and Wine Classic.
Circle Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2015 on your calendars!
For the second year in a row, the Swan and Dolphin will hold the popular event on Halloween weekend.
The Food and Wine Classic also coincides with the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, which will take place September 25 – November 16, 2015.
The Beer Garden, which was first introduced in 2014, is returning, and will offer a wide range of beers from all over the world as well as local brews! In addition, guests can enjoy more than 40 tasting stations featuring dishes from the resort’s 17 restaurants and lounges as well as more than 30 wineries!
I know it seems so far away right now, but it will be here before you know it! And since this is the 20th year for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, we expect there to be some super big doin’s happening around Disney at that time! (Remember when you used to go to Disney World and schedule a wake-up call and Mickey would call you and say “Big Doin’s Going On!” Yeah. That was awesome.)
Stay tuned for more details, like menus and the seminar line up! This event is always tons of delicious fun, so we can’t wait to hear more!

Frank — Isn’t it awesome?? Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as they’re available, and we’ll have the menus as well!

Hi, Brooke! Do you know if this event has much effect on the crowd levels at the parks? I’m thinking of going to WDW that week but was hoping to avoid big crowds if at all possible! Thanks!!

Will there be hotel+event package offerings available similar to last year?
Brooke says
Joe — They haven’t announced them yet, but I’m pretty confident they will offer packages once more, since they always have. Stay tuned to DFB and we’ll let you know as soon as they announce! 🙂

Hi Michele! — I don’t know that it’s any more crowded than other weekends, but weekends during Epcot Food and Wine Festival are usually busier with locals, so I could imagine it would be busier because of that. Still, it’s Halloween weekend, so people who aren’t planning to be at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party probably will be enjoying their Halloween elsewhere. If you’re going for the week and not just the weekend, you should have plenty of not-so-busy time as well. That’s a crazy answer! I hope it helps a little. 🙂
Michele says
Sounds great, thank you! We would be there for the week, probably leaving on Sunday, and would make sure to avoid Epcot on Friday or Saturday. I had read that should be a pretty ok week in October for crowd levels, so here’s hoping!

When do they typically announce the events schedule for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival? We are about 20 days out from being able to make reservations for some of the high-demand restaurants we want to go to (like Le Cellier and Be Our Guest), and I’m hoping the schedule of events will be out before that!
