Yet another Starbucks — the fifth in Walt Disney World — has a grand opening right around the corner. And today we got a glimpse of some of the fun signage for this new location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Themed after the old time trolley cars that go hand in hand with Hollywood’s heyday, this Starbucks will be an ideal spot for Disney guests to grab coffee and a bite to eat on their way to the park’s biggest attractions.
Maybe the inside will be a bit like Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe in Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort — another location themed to about the same time in Walt’s history.
Set to open next month, this new java stop comes along with a lot of other changes at the Studios — some pretty obvious…
…and some just rumored! We can’t wait to see what the latest will be with the Backlot area!

I was a skeptic, but after experiencing the one on Main Street I’m convinced that they are doing the right thing. That one was well done and, no matter what’s you think about Starbucks, a cut above the coffee offerings they had before. I’m looking forward to the rest of the rollout now.

Where is this Starbucks going to be at HS? On the Main Street or somewhere else?
Essie says
I just wish they still had the Main St. Bakery’s cinnamon rolls. 🙁

Hmmmm. Hat comes down, Starbucks goes up… I think we know what the new park icon is going to be!

I was a skeptic too about the switchover, but I gave the Main Street Bakery location in Magic Kingdom a try last trip and came away fairly happy with it. The line for ordering was nuts (it was August, after all), but somewhat organized and the sandwiches we got were great. The coffee was definitely 4 steps above what they passed off as coffee in the past. Overall, I’m okay with integrating premiere vendors into the park where it makes sense.

Isn’t that “closed for refurb” door on the patio of Hollywood Brown Derby, around the corner from “Starring Rolls”?
I thought they were to take over “Starring Rolls”, not the HBD’s patio, which opened up last year as a lounge serving drinks and apps?
AJ says
CraiginPA — No, this Starbucks is replacing a merchandise location across the street from Starring Rolls.

The Trolley Car cafe is on Hollywood Blvd in the first block of stores on the right, just after you pass the Crossroads of the World.i don’t know what used to be there. I think it’s a great idea to grab a cup of coffee as you enter the park!

I am THRILLED about all the Starbucks being added to every park! We go to the Magic Kingdom Starbucks and the Epcot Starbucks EVERY time we go to those parks! We love our “afternoon coffee” and this is the PERFECT place to go! The Trolley Car Café is replacing a corner store that sold baby clothes and stuffed animals. This is DEFINITELY a welcome replacement and another reason for us to love Disney! . . . . Now, just waiting on Animal Kingdom to open their Starbucks!

Has anyone heard a more exact date as to when this will be opening? Would love to see it when we visit in a couple of weeks! Thanks!!

I was at HS yesterday and peaked in. Cast was being trained and food was on display case.

Just left Hollywood Studios today, Tuesday 3 February, 2015, and Starbucks was OPEN! As it was not a ‘grand opening’, most people didn’t really notice the facility and just walked by. Starbucks wasn’t too busy inside. There was a queue area out front, but no one was waiting in line to enter. It may have been busier in the morning, but we did not arrive until lunchtime.
