In 1993 we took our first trip to WDW. We stayed at the Dolphin. They were very helpful and kind. There was nothing along the boardwalk yet. Just a big wall as we walked along the boardwalk to Epcot that had a painting of what was to be. I wish I had taken pictures of the wall paintings to see how close the rendering really was. We still point out our room in the tower every time we walk by.

Sadly we cannot make it to the flower and garden festival as we are going in October. 🙁

I’ve stayed at the Dolphin twice using the government (teachers) discount. They have some fabulous restaurants and great location. Well worth staying there.

Oh, is that all? What a bargain for 18 hours.

I stayed at the Swan once about three years ago for F&W. The rooms were comfy, and the location is nice, but I just can’t get over the resort fee AND the parking fee. We’re up in Gainesville, so we always drive, of course, and I could handle one fee but both of them just make it too expensive.
