We’ve been hearing for what feels like forever that Be Our Guest Restaurant in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom would begin offering breakfast service — and it looks like that rumor is officially confirmed!
In speaking with Disney Cast Members today, we’ve determined that booking for reservations will open up tomorrow! Guests will be able to book dates from March 20th through June 18th, the date which will mark the end of the test period for this new offering at Be Our Guest.
UPDATE: Please note that as of June 2015, the initial test phase of breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant has been extended and Advance Dining Reservations are currently available through October 3, 2015.
So circle Friday, March 20th, on your calendars for the start date for breakfast! To be sure you get immediate updates as they become available, sign up for the Disney Food Blog newsletter!
Now let’s look a little closer at what is anticipated, and just a heads up: it looks like breakfast at Be Our Guest will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before!
Quick Service/Prix Fixe Mashup: Breakfast at Be Our Guest
For lunch service, Be Our Guest recently became the very first counter service spot to offer Advance Dining Reservations. (Dinner service remains table service, and Advance Dining Reservations have been in place for dinner since the restaurant opened.) And now, it seems that they’ll follow suit with lunch for the breakfast service.
Breakfast at Be Our Guest will be a counter service option, but it’s anticipated that advanced ordering will be available, just like at lunch. In addition, the menu will be prix fixe with a twist. Guests will pay one set price, and the meal will include a Deluxe Pastry Basket for sharing at the table, Your Choice of Entree, and a Beverage. (Be sure to continue further in this post for screen shots of the menu!)
At this time, Be Our Guest is NOT planning to offer a Character Dining experience. All in all, the meal will be very similar to lunch, with the exception that it’s prix fixe with a choice of entree.
Breakfast at Be Our Guest will be bookable via the My Disney Experience app or online through the Disney World website. You may also dial (407) WDW-DINE. As with lunch, pre-ordering should be available via My Disney Experience 30 days out. Because this is considered a counter service spot, breakfast will count as one counter service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
Breakfast will be served from 8AM until 10AM. (In the event that you hold an ADR prior to the Park’s opening for the day, you’ll be required to show your confirmation number in order to enter the Park before it opens to the public.)
So, there you go! You’ll have the convenience of quick service and a set price, but you’ll have higher end options and fantastic themeing.
Be Our Guest Breakfast Menu
As for the menu offerings, Be Our Guest will continue to strike a balance between offering traditional favorites with a French flavor. While everything is subject to change, the menu will likely include:
- Assorted Cured Meats and Cheeses served with Orange Marmalade, Fresh Fruit, and a Toasted Baguette
- Open-faced Breakfast Poached Egg, Applewood Bacon, Brie Cheese, and Arugula on a Toasted Baguette – Served with a Fresh Fruit Cup
- French Doughnut with Bananas, Caramel, and Whipped Creme
- Scrambled Egg Florentine, Country Ham, and Tomato Topped with Fresh Chives – Served in Puff Pastry
- Vegetable Quiche with Mushrooms, Red Peppers, and Spinach – Served with Fresh Fruit
- Egg White Scramble with Tomato Served on a Multigrain Croissant – Served with Fresh Fruit
- Waffles
- French Toast Sticks
Here are a few screen shots of the menu as listed on the “My Disney Experience” app! Below are the listed Adult Entrees:
And here is a glimpse of the Kids Meals. I’m a little jealous, frankly, over the “Crepes du Cogsworth.”
So there you have it! May the luck of the Irish be with us all tomorrow (St. Patrick’s Day!) as we try to make our very first Be Our Guest Breakfast Advance Dining Reservations! Woooooo!!
Are you excited for the opportunity to start your day at Be Our Guest Restaurant? Please let us know with a comment!
ALL DETAILS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

Meh.
We’ve had both lunch and dinner at BOG. Dinner was awesome, lunch was very mediocre, albeit in a really cool place. Looking at this menu, I don’t think we’ll be giving up our Crystal Palace ressies.
Dave says
Are we sure it’s available to book 30 days out? Has anyone had success booking? When I check dates in May it says they’re booked already. But May or well over 30 days from today.
Hayley says
I actually prefer BOG for lunch over the dinner service but I’m excited to try the breakfast option once reservations open up. Cant wait to see some delicious food blog photos until I get there in person!
Alex says
Those prices listed are ridiculous. Looking at $60+ for breakfast for a family of four. It’s a cool place but my God that’s insane.
Michelle says
This is another great option for people to get to eat in Beast Castle! A little pricey for Counter service breakfast, but if you can’t get lunch or dinner it is an option.
We finally have a dinner ADR for May after eating lunch on 2 seperate occasions. I think we will skip breakfast and stick with dinner. Have a coffee and pastry at Starbucks instead….
Judy Hartup says
When is Disney going to recognize the senior citizens and give us something we can afford. Have been faithful followers since 1955 when living in Calif. Now resident of Florida many years and annual pass holder. We can never, ever afford to eat at WDW nowadays. It is very unfair. We enjoy the parks just like the next person. Something needs to be done. We feel a lot like other seniors…..left out in the cold. Yes, there are places off site but why are we being forced out to eat there by Disney prices. We want to enjoy what is in the parks like everybody else. Thank you for listening. Have a great day !
Sarah says
I reserved lunch reservations on the 25 of feb when lunch became available for reservations. Not sure how far out breakfast will be but, I know it works for lunch.
Janet Sala says
This is so, nice! Finally, a nice breakfast in the MK without having it be a character meal! Yay!!!!!!! I’ll be booking Be Our Guest breakfast for my April trip, for sure!
Beth says
Sounds great, but I don’t think I can give up a Strawberry Waffle from Sleepy Hollow for breakfast!
Randi says
While some of the menu items sound good, I sincerely hope that those prices listed are placeholders… Twenty bucks for an egg sandwich or a donut? I don’t think so…
Carolyn says
@Dave, actually you can book an ADR for BOG lunch up to 180 days out. Once you have a reservation, at 30 days out you can pre-order your food to save time once you arrive.
I was part of the initial rush to get lunch ADR for May 2015 and I was initially unsuccessful as first to scoring a table. However, I kept checking back on the website and I was able to get an ADR last week.
Keep trying!
Cindy says
I hope there’s more to this menu, is this including drinks and such? Seems a little pricey for Breakfast for just the food part… Lunch is so much cheaper…??? I seriously hope there’s more to it… I love BOG…
Alli says
Actually, reservations for BOG breakfast and lunch can be made @the 180 day mark just like dinner now.
Angela says
11.99 for ” chips kelloggs cereal”? 19.99 for a breakfast sandwich? Way too over priced!
Brandy says
If the go live date for breakfast is as early as March 20, shouldn’t we have more information about it already? That is 4 days away!
Kim says
I agree with some of the others that it seems a little pricey, but I’m willing to wait and see how it turns out. It will be a great value for a counter-service credit on the dining plan! Breakfast at BOG will provide more capacity at one of the most sought-after restaurants in all of Disney World, and give guests options between a counter-service snack and a full-service buffet breakfast.
I look forward to giving it a try next fall!
lebeau says
I was really excited about this until I saw the prices. But odds are Disney will have no problem filling the place even at an inflated price. And it gives more people the opportunity to enjoy a meal at BOG. So overall, I like this move even if I am unlikely to actually go there for breakfast myself.
Paul C says
If the restaurant is full than they aren’t charging enough. Not like it’s the only place to eat.
We order groceries and have breakfasts in our room anyways. Breakfats are all severely over priced everywhere, but especially at Disney.
Kate M. says
I wonder how early BOG will be open. Do you think there’s a chance it will be open before the park does, like Crystal Palace? I would definitely take advantage if that’s the case!
Meg says
Please, please, please, please, PLEASE. I can’t beg you enough as a reputable and loved source of Disney news to include that these prices are completely temporary! Don’t sensationalize this. If you included a screenshot of the drinks menu people would see that the prices are completely bogus. The drinks do not have a price tag at all, and a Mickey straw is .59 cents! If you’re going to try to pass off these prices as true, include those free drinks too.
John says
I think the prices are placeholders. My hunch is that the app menu was rolled out early, probably by accident. The menu isn’t available on the desktop version.
Melanie says
If only my family didn’t like buffets for breakfast so much! I definitely won’t get to try it out when we go this September, but maybe, just maybe next year!
Michele says
The article says it will be open at 8AM. So that would be nice to be in the park early.not sure about the prices though.
John says
I take it back. From what I’m reading elsewhere, it is a fixed price of $19.99 for adults and $11.99 for children. You get a pastry basket, one entree, and a beverage.
Tarantula says
Considering what we would otherwise be forced to spend on breakfast (Crystal Palace, CRT, ummmmmm I don’t know where else to get a decent meal in MK in the morning?) this is a bargain! At Starbucks which we like but it’s just not the same – we would have to spend $5 on coffee, $5 on a breakfast sandwich, and a few dollars apiece on a couple pastries and it sounds like you get a “basket” of them at BOG… Add another $3-5 for extraordinary theming and better food (in my experience, not everyone’s) at BOG and thats pretty much $20. So yeah I’m happy to pay it! I don’t think this place is worth the crazy effort that people put into getting the ADRs, but I’ve eaten there on a 10-minute walk in and it’s gorgeous. We got an easy lunch ADR for next month, and will be looking for breakfast ADRs tomorrow! 🙂
Stacey says
Whoa!$19.99 for everything..$11.99 for kids cereal? That’s crazy.I did enjoy lunch there, although they need more selection for vegetarians.the grey stuff..yummm
Lissy lou says
I Love Disneyland BUT live in the UK – making advanced reservations for disney restaurants & fans pass tickets is extremely hard for the tourists who are not staying at disney resorts – this makes the 180 days in advance difficult for us.
My question is – will those who are not staying at a disney resort be able to book this breakfast experience & how will they be able to do this?
Arthur says
It may be that it is a buffet with the prices all the same. Not sure I want to bother with BOG for breakfast unless they have something truly unique for the meal. The same entrees with thematic names just does not float my boat. Seems like Disney could really make a killing if they got more creative with the food and provided at least one signature item you can only get at each restaurant. But, because of sharing kitchen space with different venues or preparing certain items at a central location and delivering them to the sales point, the creativity has taken a back seat to economics of scale.
Stephanie says
will I be able to sign in at midnight or have to wait until tomorrow morning?
Richard says
It’s on!!!

I wish we could vegetarianise some of these- annoying that the poached eggs and eggs florentine both come with meat. As you have to pre order/order by touch screen I dont think you can make special requests. It’s odd because they give a ‘no cheese’ option on some too.
Rune says
Lissy Lou, I’m in the UK too and have booked up dining reservations without staying in Disney resort hotels lots of times.
Go to the http://disneyworld.disney.go.com site, and make yourself an account (under ‘my Disney Experience’), then under ‘things to do’, click dining, ‘make reservations’ and then pick where and when you want to eat. You pre-book your table by reserving with your credit card (Apologies if you already knew all that.) =)
If you have the app on your phone you can do it via that too =)
MeLissa says
So being that it’s “a counter service option” will it be included on the Ddp? That makes it a little better of a value as far as quick service meals go. For our family of four, I’d much prefer this to the much pricier Tusker house at animal kingdom or the breakfast at Akershus. IMHO.
mealtrip says
Oh please let there be Mimosas for an additional fee. The only thing I’m really looking for between 8am and 10am is a dark place and an adult beverage.
Can I get a side-order of bacon with that fried doughnut topped with banana caramel sauce, chocolate ganache and whipped cream?
Emily says
I love BOG, been for breakfast and lunch countless times now. I’ve been very excited for this rumor to become official and I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I was hoping for table service, but I’m more disappointed in the price tag than anything. Why on earth would I pay $20+ a person for QS breakfast when I can pay a lot less than that for full service at say, Kona Cafe? I’m sure the food will be delicious as I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve eaten at BOG, but this seems extreme. Also, I was expecting more from the menu.
Needless to say, I will be giving this a try. I’ll probably love it but I’m curious to see if it is worth the price.
Liz says
That is way to high for breakfast. That’s just a gouging.
AJ says
Dave — Booking starts tomorrow, and will be for dates 30 days out, starting March 20 and ending June 18. This is considered a test phase, so we’ll bring you more information regarding what happens after June 18 as soon as we have it.
Randi, Angela, Stacey, Arthur, Alex, and Emily — The prices are for a prix fixe breakfast, which includes a pastry basket for the table, an entree, and a beverage. The prices have been confirmed as $19.99 plus tax for adults, $11.99 plus tax for children ages 3-9 years.
Cindy — We would imagine there will be more menu details. This is just the first information that’s been released.
Lissy Lou — Yes, Be Our Guest breakfast should be bookable as an Advance Dining Reservation. It’s not a FastPass, like Be Our Guest lunch tested for a time. (Be Our Guest lunch is now an Advance Dining Reservation as well, and thus is open to all guests, not just those staying in Disney resorts.)
Richard — Thanks!
Rune — Thanks so much for offering that great advice!
Kate M. — Breakfast will be served 8-10AM. If those hours fall before normal park opening on a given day, then yes, we’d imagine that guests with early ADRs would gain early admittance to the park with confirmation of their ADR.
Meg — We have confirmed the prices with Disney as $19.99 plus tax for adults, $11.99 plus tax for children ages 3-9 years, and as I state in the post, prices are for a prix fixe breakfast, which includes shared pastries, an entree, and a beverage for each person. Thank you SO much for reading! We take pride in providing correct and confirmed information. Any time something is a rumor, we make sure to include that in the post.
MeLissa — Yes, it will count as one quick service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
Mealtrip — Ha! We’ll keep you posted 😉
nicole says
Can adults order off the kids menu if we are paying out of pocket? The kids menu sounds more our taste then the adult menu.
Sandra says
Yay! May I ask all those who are going during the trial period to please, please, please book this breakfast so Disney will continue it, thus allowing my family to enjoy it in the fall. Since we use the QSDP most trips, this would be a nice meal to spend a credit on. Love the idea of a shared pastry basket!
Essie says
Wow, I have to sadly agree with the senior citizen lady named Judy. I LOVE WDW, but I’m disabled. When I wasn’t and I worked, I stayed at the Contemporary and the Ca. Beach and loved them. Now I use the Values and I’m lucky to get there every 3-4 years, because I’m stuck on disability. I’ve had lunch at BOG and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. But, $20.00 for a donut meal? And, $12.00 for a child’s cold cereal meal? I guess they can do it because the place is so popular, but it sure seems like a high price. At least with the character breakfasts, it’s an all you can eat buffet.
Squinny says
Ridiculously high prices! Ate there once, pictures with Beast, done.
Was hoping for something to lure us back. This is definitely not it!
Trish says
Really excited to see the portion sizes for breakfast because I don’t think that overall qsr breakfast is worth the credits! So this mysterious pastry basket is inticing! P.s i love your blogs!
ch says
I’m having a bad brain day. I re-read this a few times and still don’t know what was the twist part of the prix fixe?
The price is fair as long as enough people are willing to pay and it’s not just for the food, you’re also getting the room and another way to get those early am empty park photos.
Prudence says
Pass. Menu doesn’t look good. Prices look worse. Not even going to try it.
Nanci says
Got my reservation! Can’t wait!!
Steph says
The reservations are now available. I was able to score one for this coming weekend! High prices, yes, but I’d like to do it just once 🙂 The MK is severely lacking in counter service breakfast options.
Tarantula says
I got a pre-park ADR for next month – didnt even wake up early to get it! 🙂 Did you guys all get the ADRs you were looking for?
Dave says
I’m sorry… But $20 for a doughnut? I absolutely love doughnuts, but that is outrageous. This is not family friendly pricing. If I spent that much and the meal was anything but a 10/10, I’d be pretty upset. Disney is taking a huge risk with customer satisfaction by charging these prices.
And why are crêpes only on the children’s menu? That’s traditional French fare. Who wouldn’t want crêpes for breakfast?
KT says
Just got our reservation for Spring Break. Have to try it at least once to say I have tried all three meals there!
Jen says
Got adr since my picky kids will enjoy their menu using dinning plan, looking at menu I don’t see one thing I would eat, would prefer items on kids menu, hope they will allow substations but doubt it since you order from screen so worried I won’t have much to eat
