When the Marketplace Co-op opened up in Downtown Disney’s Marketplace last year, it was clear that Disney had taken steps to create some kitchen and home merchandise that really spoke to Disney fans through the Disney Centerpiece shop, with much of it focused on vintage designs from the earliest days of Disneyland and Disney World.
Things only continued to get better when Memento Mori — the first shop dedicated entirely to the Haunted Mansion — opened later in the year.
The thing is, so much great stuff came out last year, that it was almost hard to take it all in! So I don’t think I realized how cool these vintage attraction poster mugs are until I got to check them out in more detail on my most recent Disney World trip. These days, you can also find them in other places outside of the Co-op, like Magic Kingdom’s Confectionery.
Each mug has four attraction posters on it, so you’re looking at different views of the same four mugs in the pictures below (just click on any of the images to enlarge).
The first blue mug on the left features absolute favorites and classics across the board, from Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, as well as the Monorail System.
You’ll notice the purple mug is entirely dedicated to Fantasyland (including Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, which is
still in operation at Disneyland, but not, sadly, in Disney World). No New Fantasyland here! This one’s completely Old School.
The third mug in the row —the green one — is all about Adventureland, including our friend the Orange Bird at Sunshine Tree Terrace (though his surroundings have changed a bit).
The maroon mug is a bit of a mix of some classic favorites in Frontierland like Big Thunder Mountain, the Country Bear Jamboree, and Frontierland Railroad Station, but also featuring Pirates of the Caribbean recognized in its Disneyland home of New Orleans Square.
I think starting your day with any of these would make waking up in the morning a little easier. How about you?
Which vintage attraction mug would you choose? Please let us know with a comment!

I got mine from the Disney Store website. They are nice, but I wish they were larger. I read some reviews that said they don’t hold up well in the dish washer so I have been hand washing mine.

We bought the one featuring Mr. Toad for my husband (he is still mad they closed it at WDW) and he put it in the dishwasher with the rest of our Disney mugs–which killed it after a couple of washings. The decal designs began peeling off. I confirmed with a CM in the Coop at DTD that they are made differently from the mugs I have bought in the Disney Store and definitely should not be washed in the dishwasher. They are fun though!
