that has anchored Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District since its opening in 2001 has announced plans to relocate next year.
GardenWalk Mall of Anaheim will be the restaurant and concert venue’s new home, according to a statement released this past Tuesday.
“After 15 years, the number of fans wanting to attend our shows has grown beyond the venue’s capacity, so we’re excited to now move to Anaheim GardenWalk and expand both our show and guest services while maintaining the intimate atmosphere that we’re famous for,” Felix Mussenden, executive vice president for House of Blues Entertainment, said.
When exactly the move will take place still seems to be up in the air. While The House of Blues’ lease at Downtown Disney expires in early 2016, and construction is expected to begin on the new location soon, no formal permits for the work have been filed, according to city officials.
Disney spokesperson Betsy Sanchez says that there are no immediate plans for the space that House of Blues currently occupies.

I think it will be a good thing they will get more space at garden walk, as well as maybe add to the foot traffic over there, I am sure that the space at DTD will not be vacant for long.
