Clearly, there are a LOT of terrific reasons to be excited about what the future holds in store for Disney World. I’m sure our collective minds were all blown when word came out about the Star Wars-themed Lands coming to both Disney World and Disneyland, Toy Story Land coming to Hollywood Studios, and the Jungle Cruise-themed Skipper Canteen coming to Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland later this year. It’s difficult to be disappointed with any of the recent news!
But every once in a while, I can’t help but look back on some of those favorite spots that are no longer with us… and right at the top of the list is the Adventurers Club in what was formerly Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island. Someone in Disney merchandise design must feel the same way, as evidenced by the Adventurers Club sign up for grabs in a few locations around Disney World.
I believe this sign made its debut — appropriately enough — at the Sign Shop in Downtown Disney’s Marketplace Co-op in March.
But I recently noticed it at the Zawadi Marketplace gift shop in Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is the first time I spotted it outside of the Co-op (though it may be in other merchandise locations as well).
Here are some close-up shots of the text…
“Come in a Stranger. Leave a little stranger.” 🙂 Back. In. The. DAY.
You never know… it’s possible that the various rooms that will be a part of the Skipper Canteen may give a nod or two to the rooms of the Adventurer’s Club.
Or maybe not. Either way, I think this sign is a great tribute to what once was.
KUNGALOOSH!!!

You know I can’t believe Disney has not tried to score on AC merchandise.
How many AC t-shirts do you think they would sell? Or The glasses you could get at the bar. I know I have a few canteens anyone else?
I would think that would be a GOLDMINE. And we know how Disney’s like s to make a buck off just about anything so…. Bring on the Souvenirs !!!
1. I want a Mask room shirt with the two host ( forget their names now)
2. Picture of the Bar , Elephant stools and a “Nash” with the caption Kungaloosh!!! on it.
3. Caricatures of all the main players, Nash, The maid, Pamela Perkins, Otis T. Wren, Graves, Hathaway Browne, Fletcher Hodges, Samantha Sterling, Madame Zarkov, Babylonia & The Colonel ! Now that’s I shirt I would By for sure!!!! listen Disney, I hear it cha ching !!!

I started going to the Adventurer’s Club when I was 18 (as soon as I could!) and I turned 21 there. My first legal drink in the USA was a Kungaloosh, and then it closed a few months later. What a magical, magical place.

This could open up a whole new area in Disney decor. I’d love to have a Dawa Bar sign hanging in my wet bar. Or a Fireworks Factory Restaurant sign in mr kitchen. How about a Tangaroa Terrace sign on the Patio? That concept could be a lot of fun.

According to the Disney Shop Parks app, the price is $125.00 and the sign is currently in stock (but low stock) at both locations mentioned in the article.

AC club was the best at pleasure Island. I remember the good times interacting with the players. I still have my AC PIN which you had to earn. Disney should bring it back so much fun

Hi all,
I know this is a little old now but has anyone managed to buy one of these yet?
I am in the UK and won’t be travelling to Disney World until August 2016. I am absolutely desperate for one of these signs and have been hunting eBay for weeks for one.
Do you think they will still be available in August and if not could someone buy one and ship it over please.
