Looking for a new way to enjoy the Wishes Nighttime Fireworks Spectacular at the Magic Kingdom? Well, here’s a new option for you… how about by boarding a Magic Kingdom Ferryboat to see the show right from the Seven Seas Lagoon?
The brand new Ferrytale Wishes Dessert and Fireworks Cruise will set sail on select nights beginning October 5, 2015, and will feature plenty of treats to cap off your Magic Kingdom night, along with specialty beverages in a glowing glass (such as sparkling wine and a signature punch) and terrific views of Wishes.
The dessert menu will include items inspired by places guests view on the Ferryboat’s route such as: “The Grand” Key Lime Tart, Contemporary “Traditional with a Twist” Spiced Flourless Chocolate Cake, Polynesian De-constructed Pineapple Upside Down Cake, “Main Street” Mickey Balloon Tarts, Mini “Fireworks” Cupcakes with a Pop, Cinderella’s Sugar Slipper with Orange Financier, and Florida Mango Panna Cotta.
At the time of this writing, party dates are appearing online for Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings beginning October 5 and running through December 18 (with some exclusions such as Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday). Cruises will set sail 45 minutes before the start of Wishes.
Pre-paid admission to Ferrytale Wishes is $99 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9, including tax and gratuity. The price also includes a Souvenir Palette Plate and Glow Glass to take home. 150 guests will be able to participate per cruise, and Advance Reservations are highly recommended.
To book your experience or learn more, you can visit the Walt Disney World website or call (407) 939-3463.

Hmmmmm… Jack Daniels Mixology Seminar at 6pm, Fireworks on a Ferry at 8pm… sort of makes one wish there was a McDonalds on the Monorail. Wait… that could be a new thing too!!! “Dining on The Rails – A McMonorail Burger Party”.
Justin says
No, mealtrip. It’s gotta be like a 5 Guys at the Contemporary or something similar—something MUCH greaser than McDonalds! 😛
Seriously, though, Disney’s asset profitization (a phrase I just invented) might really be going off the rails. This comes hot on the heels of a $300 Disneyland Jungle Cruise breakfast AND as we enter Year 2 of a hard ticket event INSIDE hard ticket events!
I am awaiting the day when some attraction is ONLY available via additional hard ticket event purchase.

While we enjoyed the Terrace dessert party a few years ago, and I know that my husband would love one on the ferry, he would NOT love the price. It would cost $300 for my family to do this one thing, enough for two very nice dinners or a couple of additional resort nights. We’ll pass.
Dom says
Great idea but ridiculous price again! Not as bad as the Jungle Cruise costs but more than $400 (for my family) for a few cakes on a boat (which the kids barely eat) is only for the stupid. I am Disney mad and lucky to be pretty well off but shall pass on this one. Eat at Narcoossees or the California Grill for much less, get a better meal and enjoy the same view!!

I’d like to know who actually has the money to take part in these types of activities. As ridiculous as it seems, someone is ponying up the money; otherwise, why would they keep creating these events?
It sure sounds fun, and my husband and I make a pretty decent chunk of change, but I would NEVER pay that much for a dessert cruise when we could use the money in a more efficient way.
We love Disney, and we would go every year if we could, but we are going to abstain for 2-5 years until something new appears in the parks. We just can’t justify the price for the same old, same old. I don’t consider ungodly expensive activities like these to be exciting new things to do.

It sounds like fun but like the rest; I would only ever do this if I had a ton extra cash to throw away. Much better ways of spreading our dollars than this.
Frank Molinelli says
For dessert? Really? No thank you.I can think of many other great things to do for that price.Cannot justify the cost. Not very Family Friendly

Very expensive. I’m having a private Illuminations dessert party next month with appetizers, all you can eat ice cream novelties, chocolate dipped strawberries, donuts, cotton candy, butterscotch marshmallow bars, giant Mickey ear cookies dipped in chocolate, custom Cinderella birthday cake, Mickey milk, fruit punch and lemonade. All for $420. Price for this event seems disproportionately high.

I snagged a ressie for November, I am excited! We are very excited to have this experience, I haven’t done a dessert party before and it’s worth the fun ferry ride and souvenirs for us 🙂
Randy says
Courtney, let us know how you liked it. I would love to hear from someone who has actually done it to know if it’s worth it. o)

I hope the Ferrytale Wishes Fireworks Dessert Cruise stays for next year. I really want to do this for my birthday in April. I didn’t realize it was only a limited time. Yes, it’s expensive but I don’t get to Disney World often and I thought this would be my “very special thing”. Keeping fingers crossed.

Now if they were only like Las Vegas and added a nice resort cruise fee.
Taylor says
We just finished the cruise, and it was a great experience. Delicious desserts. Cool souvenirs – including a PIN! Fabulous view of Wishes. The cast members were extremely accommodating, and they even had 3 busses waiting to take us back to the resorts at the T&TC. Top notch and a wonderful way to celebrate turning 30.

October 23, though the cost is more than the other dessert party’s we have been on,you get a little extra, a pin badge, light rope, light glasses, though plastic all good keeps, they even give you bags to take it all home, drinks, non and alcoholic, even champagne and the electric water pageant up close, then the fireworks, for us (from the UK) well worth it for something extra and no other theme park offers it
