It’s Fall — or it nearly is, anyway. And I don’t know about you, but when the days start to shorten and the air gets a little more crisp, I am all about APPLES. (You thought I was going to say pumpkin, didn’t you.)
The great thing about Apple Snacks and Treats is that they can actually be good for you. Well, better for you, anyway! 😉
Today, I thought I’d feature one of my very favorite Disney Food Blog Crawls, just in time for Fall — the Apple-a-Day Crawl at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And the cool thing about this one is, despite its name, you can easily complete it in the space of one day!
And if you love the sounds of a food-based scavenger hunt featuring all of your favorite Disney Snacks, be sure to check out our latest updated e-book, the DFB Guide to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios Snacks 2015 for more creative eats!
Apple Turnover or Apple Danish at Starring Rolls
Start your apple-filled day at Starring Rolls Cafe.
This little bakery is the home of many of our favorite cupcakes. But they also feature lots of pastries for both breakfast and afternoon snacking.
At Starring Rolls, you can take advantage of the pastry spread and enjoy an Apple Turnover for breakfast. Yep; it’s a little decadent. But isn’t that what vacations are for?
Looking for something with more of a “breakfast pedigree”? Then check out the Assorted Danish. You’ll often find an apple version among the mix.
Apple Slices at Cool Set Productions
After a ride or two, you’ll probably be ready for a snack. Head to Cool Set Productions for your next apple find!
Not sure where that is or what you’re looking for? Here’s a hint: when you find the giant six-pack of Coca Cola bottles, you’ve arrived!
Of course, there are some refreshing beverages available here if you’re feeling parched. But Cool Set also offers some fruit and veggie snacks. Go for the Apple Slices with Caramel Dipping Sauce for a healthy snack with just a touch of decadence!
These are super convenient for noshing on the go, as they’re already rinsed, cut up, and prepared to enjoy.
Don’t want to ahead across the Park? You’ll also find this better-for-you treat at Sunset Ranch Market’s Anaheim Produce.
Apple Crisp a la Mode at Hollywood Scoops
You’ll take in more attractions, and then maybe enjoy your favorite lunch. Soon it will be time for dessert — and we have just the thing! Head back to Sunset Ranch Market for a stop at Hollywood Scoops.
There, you’ll skip the cones and go straight for the Apple Crisp a la Mode Sundae.
Covered with a surprisingly good Streusel and served piping hot, this will take care of your apple pie cravings nicely — all without the need for a sit-down dinner.
Candy Apples at Sweet Spells
Finally…you’ve had your fun, you’ve ridden Tower or Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster back to back, and it’s time for a little downtime in your resort room. But you’ll need a little shnackem for later — right?
It’s a good thing, because we can’t wrap up an apple crawl without enjoying at least one Disney Candy Apple or Caramel Apple!
And while you can find Candy and Caramel Apples throughout Walt Disney World, I love to check out what’s new at Sweet Spells — especially as they gear up for Fall and Halloween!
I’ve no doubt you’ll run across this eerily beautiful “Poisoned” Candy Apple. Are you up for the challenge?
But if you prefer Caramel to Candy, you’ll find lots of character and themed options at Sweet Spells.
And here’s a TIP: have the cast members cut it for you before they box it. They’ll cut it into easily managed wedges — perfect for sharing. And as huge as these are, you’re probably gonna wanna share the love.

Psh, apple slices are a cop out. Sundae looks good, though!
Essie says
Love those caramel apples!
Sandra says
Yes to every single one. The apple slices are actually something my son would love and my diabetic husband can eat, even with a bit of the caramel dip. Definitely a “crawl” we’re up for next month.
