I love all of the new menu changes that have been happening lately at Animal Kingdom.
It’s fun to explore the kiosks and counter service spots here especially, because it always seems like there’s something new to discover.
That’s especially true with the introduction of Harambe Market earlier this year. And who can resist popping into Zuri’s Sweets Shop to see what temptations await you?
But today, we’re exploring an old favorite — Bradley Falls Kiosk. [Editor’s Note: Since the writing of this post, Bradley Falls has received a name change; it is now Caravan Road.]
Seriously. Every single time I set foot into Animal Kingdom, it seems like I find new dishes at this cute little cart. And on a visit earlier this year, the same held true.
We had previously told you about the Thai Pork Sandwich. Well, Friends — it’s out with the old and in with the new. Because these days, you’ll find a Teriyaki Beef Slider in place of the pork.
“Slider” is, of course, code for “tiny little sandwich.” So please do keep in mind that this one isn’t meant to serve as a meal. On the bright side, it qualifies as a snack item on the Disney Dining Plan. And for the $4.99 price tag, we thought it was a decently sized snack.
The Teriyaki Sauce on the Chopped Beef is sweet and tangy; think barbecue sauce with a whisper of Asian influence, and you’re in the right neighborhood. It’s served with a Pickled Cucumber (also known as an…um…pickle), and the whole thing is presented on a petite Brioche Bun.
The bun is thick and serves as a great base for the saucy sandwich.
In fact, I’d suggest loading up on the napkins. And also, don’t walk with this one. Or you’re liable to be wearing it down the front of your shirt.
Overall, it’s a great snack item, if not big enough to enjoy as a meal. Still, if you prefer savory snacking to sweet and you’ve already had your fill of popcorn, pretzels, and giant Turkey Legs, this is a good option.
